Room was adorable and roomy!! Loved our view of the ocean/boat docks off the private balcony. Staff was friendly and it was in a central location. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the bar was not open during the hours they said it would be and the shower did not get real hot.

We had a great experience at Banana Bay! The room was beautiful and clean, and we had a balcony, which was so great. The pool was large and great to swim in. Banana Bay is also very centrally located in Marathon, so it was easy and convenient to get around (including to Sombrero Beach, which is a quick 10 min bike ride or 3 minute car ride away). Concierge and staff were all so polite. All in all, a great experience!

The room was neglected, we had to track down our own toilet paper and clean towels and take out our trash… the ice machine was down, the pool was dirty, the hot tub wasn’t working one day then covered in hornets the next. The day we were at the pool they blew leaves with a loud gas powered blower for hours all over the vehicles. The bikes that are available for the guest were broken, chains fell off and flat tire, the complementary breakfast was empty, there was zero information on the available amenities it was overall a poor experience to be called a resort was a joke, it was like staying in a motel and we were on our own.

Unauthorized charge after checkout! Proceed with caution. I stayed at Banana Bay from Feb 19–22. At check‑in, I was informed of a resort and parking fee totaling approximately $225, which I authorized as a temporary hold on my debit card. I had a trouble‑free stay, left the room in good condition, and checked out normally with a friendly goodbye from staff. However, hours after checkout, Banana Bay increased the charge on my card to over $1,000, without my authorization. Combined with the prepaid stay, this brought the total cost to approximately $2,150 for three nights in a standard room. I immediately contacted the hotel through multiple channels to resolve this, but received no response. The money was taken from my account the next day despite never authorizing this amount. This experience was extremely distressing and unacceptable. Until this issue is resolved, I cannot recommend staying here. Travelers should be very cautious, especially when using a debit card.

Not having the accurate amount of how much it is to really stay here. There was hidden fees and they charge you to park there. The breakfast is not at all featured accurately on the website. There is no milk alternative it is left out breakfast sandwiches, cereal, smooched granola bars. No fresh fruit or eggs,. So if you are picking this lace according to the resort having free breakfast, . Go with out, but did it for two days and only went back for coffee, which had the same color but the taste forget it! The place is run by high school girls and the plus is the rooms are clean and nice. Never seen a yoga studio. Not found someone to see where the laundry facilities were. The charge you too for breakfast 11 dollars a day. Hidden fees. Expedia does not have accurate rates in the site and they do not send you full itinerary till days later and you find the real price when you arrive and are already on holiday.

Room is dirty and not clean maid only cleaned our room once, the breakfast was a joke, the yogurt was bad no cream for the coffee ran out of fruit in 10 minutes. Kept running out of coffee kept running out of food. The person running the desk was also running the breakfast. What a joke.

Staff was courteous. Room could have used a folding luggage stand to put suitcase. Parking was an additional $254.45. Parking should have been included in the price of the room. Everyone who stays there needs a car since there is no dining room for lunch or dinner. A piece of fruit at the breakfast area would have been nice to add to the cereal or yogurt. The Tiki Bar bar had on the top - buy one, and the second one was half price. But then the said that only was for beer. Well then state that on the menu. It wasn't a full bar menu which was OK but they did list chardonnay. They only had a little left in the bottle so they charged a little less. It was only 7:30 in the evening and that's all they had? The pool was great.

Disappointing Stay – More Like a Motel Than a Resort I was disappointed with my recent stay. The room I was given had a view of the parking lot, which was far from relaxing or scenic as it was promised. The breakfast was honestly terrible—limited options, poor quality, and not at all what I expected from a Resort. Overall, the experience felt much more like a motel than a proper hotel. Nobody could help with suitcases I kindly asked to stay in the same room because I had two separate reservations for multiple nights. Unfortunately, the staff was unable to accommodate this request, which made my stay even more inconvenient. I would not recommend this place if you’re looking for comfort, good amenities, or a pleasant atmosphere.

This is not a resort by any means. It looks nothing like the pictures. Room itself was nice, but would not return. It really resembles an abandoned resort.

Staff was great. The pictures and condition of the pool area and room were deceiving. It seems like it was an extended stay facility rather than a resort unfortunately
