Gem in Manitou
Very nice cabin close to all the activity in Manitou. This cabin is nicely decorated, very spacious and well stocked! Just bring your food and clothes. Host was very easy to communicate with.

Prairie Duck Hunt
The property worked great for 4 adults to stay and waterfowl hunt in the area. 3 beds we’re comfortable, the pullout couch left a lot to be desired. Thin mattress and not great for an adult. The host was great with communication and description of property.

Better Than Expected
This stay was outstanding! The property was well stocked for our needs. Everything was clean and well laid out. Our grandaughters had a fabulous time! We all thoroughly enjoyed it:) The owners are great at communicating and we definitely want to come back!

Amazing Property
We came for a family vacation, the location was amazing with lake views from home, within short walking distance to all local attractions and dog park. Quiet street with great neighbors. Beautiful scenery around property with privacy. Host was quick at responding when needed and incredibly accomodating. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely spot to stay.
Beautiful spot - older part of the Manitou Beach neighbourhood, so though there are neighbours to either side, you don’t see them, just the lovely mature trees that line both sides of the property. Same with the main deck at the front of the house, when you’re sitting all you see is trees and sky. Had a lovely view of a lightning storm over the lake from the upstairs deck! Kitchen had everything you might want in terms of equipment, even oil, spices and some vanilla creamer in the fridge to start you off. Bean grinder and Salt Spring Island Coffee for morning coffee (also a container of pre-ground coffee, if that’s your preference). Beds were very comfortable, as were the living room couches. We didn’t watch television because we talk too much, but it looked like there was a full set up with cable, Roku box, etc for the really rainy days. Backyard has a very nice fire pit and chairs, though we will have to go back to try it out, as the weather didn’t cooperate this trip. Very easy walking distance to the beach, spa, Oda, etc - though the house is on a hill, so if you use a walker or other mobility aid, you might wish to make the quick 2 block drive down to the public parking. All walking from there along the lake is very flat. The photos don’t do the listing justice. Lovely place, we will be back for sure.

Spa get away
Very impressed with the property, cleanliness and overal decor. Much better than the photos online. The location is about 1 1/2 blocks from the mineral spa on the lake front. Owner was excellent with communications. Will stay again and tell our friends. Thank you again for everything.

Close to spa, great beds and lots of space.
Lovely home. We were very happy with our stay and are thinking of booking for next year. Remember to bring garbage bags, extra dish pods, regular coffee grinds/tea and creamer.

Wonderful getaway
Now that we can no longer camp as well as we used to, my family has had to turn to other ways to getaway with the rest of our family who still camp. This was an incredible alternative. The cabin is very nice. The view is great as well. The host was very responsive and we plan to come back next year.

This is our favourite place to recommend to friends who are looking for a vacation rental in Manitou Beach. It is beautifully finished, airy and spacious, and the price can't be beat. John has put effort into upgrading the little touches here and there for the current season and this owner investment in keeping their property fresh from year-to-year does not go unnoticed.

Fabulous Beach House!
I have been a guest here several times now and absolutely LOVE this cottage. It’s a mix of vintage and modern and is always super clean. The view from the upper deck cannot be beat as it looks out over the lake. I always say this is my happy place, and continue to introduce new people to it who love it just as much and then book it themselves with their family and friends. It’s just a fantastic gem of a get away where the hosts John and Christine are always so accommodating and wonderful to deal with. Highly Recommend!!!

The whole experience was 5 Stars! The pictures do not do this cabin justice. It’s exceptionally clean, bed was comfy and everything is there you need. The hosts were great to communicate with and overall it was just a pleasant experience. We will definitely be going back!

The perfect get-away at Manitou Beach!
Everything you could need is available at this spacious, clean, and thoughtfully decorated house. The backyard is GIANT with a wonderful fire pit and the double decks on the front make for wonderful lake and people watching!

Fantastic Getaway!
This is my third time staying here and once again, it did not disappoint! Was excellent for our mini girls getaway. The hosts are always so helpful and kind, and I never have any worries at this rental. It’s super clean, well stocked, cutely decorated and overall just so warm and welcoming. So Much Better Than the Pictures
The property was 5 star for everything. The view from the upper balcony of the lake was amazing. There was not one part of this huge property that was not perfect, from the walk in shower, to the huge rooms, to the whole town itself. I cannot recommend this place more!

Spacious inside & out!
John and Christine were wonderful hosts. Although we didn't meet in person, they answered all of our questions promptly and made suggestions for us that might add to the enjoyment of our girls weekend away, ie the possibility of an in-home pedicure. The indoor space is large and has all of the comforts you would need. The beds were all comfortable as well. The outdoor space is way bigger than we expected and has multiple areas to hang out in. An upper and lower deck, an upper balcony and a gorgeous firepit with chairs in a nook around the back of the property. We had a fire ban so we couldn't use it this time but it was very cozy and looked like a great place to relax in. We also made good use of the BBQ. The cabin also has a beautiful view down the hill of the lake when you step out onto the street. Overall, we were all really impressed with this property. I definitely recommend it.

Manitou beach stay
We really enjoyed our time at this cabin. It is spacious and well supplied with everything we needed. The only thing that would have made this an even better experience is if we had been able to use the firepit outside but unfortunately there was a fire ban on. Communication with the owners was great. I highly recommend this for a great stay!

Fantastic Beach Getaway!
This is the second time I’ve stayed here and I simply can’t say how much I love it! The home is super clean and well stocked with lots of kitchenware. I love all the glassware as this is the one kitchen item I’m super picky about. The beds are nice and comfy and the choice of decks to hang out on is a true bonus. The place is cutely decorated and just feels like home. Highly recommend!

This quote was on the cabin wall: "time wasted at the lake is time well spent". This well maintained property covered everything necessary to enjoy our time at Manitou Beach. The decor set the tone with unique "lake themed" pieces as well as some interesting vintage pieces. The rooms were set up for comfort and contained everything needed for our time at the cabin. There were many gathering areas outdoors including a large 2-tiered deck with BBQ out front as well as a fire-pit with chairs in the back. The balcony deck was my favourite spot for watching the sunrise each morning with a cup of coffee. Thank-you John & Christine for being wonderful hosts and making the check-in so easy. Our "time wasted at the lake" in this property was definitely time well spent!! Janet

Our stay was perfect. The community was hopping with activity and friendly people. Our teens were entertained and needed no doting on which gave the adults a nice break on the deck with a fridge full of our favourite drinks. The lake is so close for swimming as is all areas of activity. You can walk anywhere from this very clean, comfortable, charming cabin. I loved our stay start to finish.

Excellent Vacation Home!
My friend and I stayed here and loved the property. It was super clean, nicely decorated with a blend of antiques/vintage with some interesting art pieces as well. The beds were super comfy and the upper deck has a lovely view of the lake. The hosts were super nice in all their communications and check in was a breeze. Highly recommend! We will be back for sure.
