Top Manchester Hotel Reviews

TRIBE Manchester Airport
10/10 Excellent
"Overall an alright stay at the property. I was only there for 1 night before an early flight in the morning so was an easy location for getting to the terminal. The room was really nice, there were a couple hairs on the bed, but nothing serious. Dinner was nice at the restaurant, maybe slightly more expensive than I would have thought but nice and the staff were lovely too. I did have some issues with my window facing out onto the bar as it meant there was the noise from music till later on the evening which wasn't ideal when I needed to be up at 3am the next morning for my flight. Both checkin and checkout were really easy and overall would stay again if I needed accommodation around a flight, although would bring ear plugs!"

Manchester Portland By Sunday
6/10 Okay
"Staff were very welcoming and friendly, the room we had was ok ,over priced as we had a first floor room at the front of the hotel that looked out over the street,it was a Saturday night and we didn't get any sleep due to all the noise from drunken people shouting , arguing as they were coming out of pubs and venues nearby, the taxi rank was also just across the road with the slamming of doors,so if you stay at the hotel ask for a room at the back of the building."

"The only problem, but a major one, was that the bed was so uncomfortable. My wife hardly slept at all and woke up aching all over."

Kimpton Clocktower by IHG
6/10 Okay
"I recently stayed for one night at The Clocktower Hotel in Manchester with my Partner.Staff were welcoming throughout our stay, which I appreciated. However, I was very disappointed with the breakfast offering, especially considering this is advertised as a 5 star hotel. I have stayed in many 3 star, 4 star, and 5 star hotels, and the breakfast selection here was one of the most limited I have experienced. There was only sliced toast bread available, with no wider bread selection. There were also no cheese slices or cheese variety at all. In many 4 star hotels, it is common to find a selection such as cheddar, blue cheese, and other cheeses, but here there was only Philadelphia cream cheese spread. The cold meat selection was equally disappointing. There was only salami available, with no turkey, ham, smoked salmon, or other alternatives. For someone who does not eat bacon or sausages, there were very few options to choose from. What made the experience more frustrating was that I specifically asked a member of staff whether there was any cheese available. I was told that only Philadelphia spread was available. Later,I noticed other guests nearby being served poached eggs on what appeared to be fresh bread that was not available on the buffet. At no point was this offered as an option when I raised my concerns. I felt the service short because there was no attempt to suggest alternatives or accommodate my request for a Hotel of this standard. We had to eat out in a near shop."

Malmaison Manchester
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely brilliant location- 2 mins from the train station, 3 mins for a night on canal street and 5 minutes walk into town for shopping. Great hotel staff and bar- you can get a free drink at the bar if you don’t need house keeping over the 2 days. Just asked for extra coffee capsules when needed!"
