3rd floor apartment with a large private balcony looking West over the lake. Good sized double bedroom , living area (with sofa bed), bathroom with shower, sink, loo and bidet, and small kitchen area, all recently decorated, beautifully finished and in great condition.
The owner could not have been more helpful, even coming out in the rain to sort out the heating for us!
The apartment isn't accessible by car, which adds to the charm. Having free private parking a little way away was a great bonus, given the restrictions on local spaces.
Malcesine is by far the prettiest place we saw, with dozens of shops, from those selling local goods up to a large and well-stocked supermarket close by. The harbour is almost next door to the apartment, which was very convenient for ferries to other parts of the lake. There's a huge range of places to eat and drink, most of which are amongst the central cluster of narrow cobbled streets and within 10 minutes' walk of the apartment. We didn't get to all of them so will be coming back again!
