Villa is ok - big. Outside is beautiful and the seating area is actually better than the photos. The sunbeds are nothing like photos and cushions are tired. The villa inside needs some TLC - it’s tired, especially the kitchen. Beds are comfortable and air con in bedrooms which was definitely needed.There was/is a problem with the drains, horrendous smell in main bathroom which affected the whole upstairs. To be fair owners sorted it as quickly as possible but wonder if drains are not great as downstairs shower barely drained.Biggest issue was ants. Serious ant problem! They got into everything in the food cupboard. We even tried double bagging our bread but they still got in. There were loads running around with our food despite trying to secure it as best we could. There are seriously more ants inside the kitchen than outside! They were running around the kitchen work surfaces and if the tiniest thing got spilled there they surrounded it….and we are very clean. The other thing was the oven was filthy and I spent time scrubbing other people’s baked on food from the oven tray and the oven shelf and then put them through the dishwasher. We bought foil to put on the tray as I still didn’t want to cook on it. Some crockery and cookware was also dirty with past peoples food and I ended up washing things before using. Things need checking between guests. Guest book would be helpful eg with details of where rubbish needed to go (communal bins). Also still no toaster.
