Willow Bay, Mahua Sound. Easy road & Beach access, tidal Beach launching/mooring

The property has sealed road access 30 mins from Havelock, with excellent flat parking for cars & boats. The house is modern, with 2 large deck areas both with large outdoor tables & chairs. The main deck has a large louvered pergola allowing outdoor dining even on the hottest days. There is an easy walk down to the quiet, safe beach, which can only be accessed by properties within the bay.

The home is a 3 bedroom: 2 with queen beds and the 3rd with a single and a set of single bunks, allowing sleeping for up to 7 people.
There is no bath, with both bathrooms having shower/toilet & vanity, the 2nd bathroom is combined with the laundry (washer, dryer & tub)

Trailer boats can be launched from the beach 2 hrs either side of high tide, which, when combined with the mooring, allows excellent boat access to the Pelorus Sounds.
There are 2 kayaks available to explore the local sound, or just enjoy the swimming, sunbathing and picnicking on the beach and grassed foreshore area. There is ample room on the grassed area for the kids to run around and play games like soccer & cricket.

The location is 15 mins from the hotel and service station at Linkwater for meals, supplies and fuel, and with access to "The Link Pathway" (which links Havelock, Linkwater, Anakiwa and Picton, both walking or biking).
In the opposite direction it is 20 mins by road to Te Mahia with its cafe & food cart (summer season). There are a number of restaurants that can be easily reached by boat, such as Portage, Raetihi, Te Rawa and even Havelock.

Drive time to Havelock is 30 mins, and to Picton is 40 mins.
Anakiwa is only 25 mins away by road which has a good launching ramp if you want to use your boat in the Queen Charlotte Sound. Anakiwa is also the start of the renowned "Queen Charlotte Track", and over summer (1:30 - 4pm), a coffee cart operates near the wharf and "Outward Bound NZ"
