「Fantastic experience all round - we checked in easily with a warm welcome from the staff. Our room was lovely, very clean, comfy bed and great decor. Little extras were provided too - the portable toothbrush & paste, shower cap and shaving kit, which was a lovely addition, especially if you've forgotten one of these. There was a coffee machine with a variety of teas, coffees and hot chocolate. USB socket as well as normal plug socket. Internet access was easy too. A useful folder in the room...

「The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes」
