Breakfast excellent extensive choice, room lovely spacious great view with a balcony tastefully decorated . Good parking available onside. Close to all amenities staff helpful. Bad points, the shown pool and jacuzzi were closed due to the local hosepipe ban apparently this was mot communicated in the hotel website or Expedia only when we got there. Shower pressure not great overall it was good.

Loved the short walk to shops, restaurants, museum, beach, The Red Lion is truly in the middle of everything…a great location. Having in parking on site was great, and we we happy to get a spot. The charming decor and balcony looking towards the sea was delightful, though our tight schedule only gave me about 15 minutes sitting there.

Great location in the heart of the town. Parking in the Royal Lions own car park can be a little tight but a space was always available. Our room was spotless and well stocked with tea and coffee supplies. Breakfast was good, plant based options on offer. Staff were helpful and friendly. At times it seemed like the hotel were short of personnel. Overall a great stay would definitely return.
