  • Lovely view of old Lviv from the top of the tower in the center of Ploscha Rynok. That's the Latin Cathedral, one of the oldest still-active churches in the city. To climb the tower, go up the first four flights of stairs to the ticket desk. The way is clearly marked with signs in multiple languages, including English. At the desk, pay 10 hrivna and then keep climbing up, up, and up until you reach the open deck at the top of the tower. Then enjoy the view!

Great option for Lviv center stay.

Excellent location and great classic property. Very good breakfast with great service. We will recommend using restaurant for high quality dinner at reasonable prices ! Will return if back to Lviv.

We arrived at the George Hotel in the middle of the night due to the train schedule. The Hotel staff had arranged for our pickup from the train station and were very warm at reception when they provided us with our room key and invitation to breakfasts. The room was very clean, well appointed given the historic nature of the hotel. The bed was comfy, shower perfect and the staff very accommodating all week. The buffet breakfast in the beautiful dining room was plentiful and well laid out. Again, the staff were very accommodating. Understanding that Ukraine is a country under attack, it is important to know that the hotel has a comfortable, staffed shelter in the basement.

Nice, affordable hotel in the center of Lviv

Friendly reception. Hotel still really breaths the Soviet style, but is in a relatively good condition. So quite interesting. Good bed, shower and clean room. So no problem there. We were traveling with a dog and although their policy is to not allow big dogs, they didn’t make a problem for our medium sized Aussie. Parking was free and also no extra charge for the dog. Only remark would be that they don’t have airco and we were staying there in the middle of a heatwave. While booking, I didn’t check to see if they had airco, so completely my own fault.

The hotel has incredible historical charm and no doubt was a very prestigious hotel in the early 20th century. The location is also very ideal and one can easily walk and explore many key sites of Lviv.

I love the George. I always stay here in L'viv, which is often. It's a little tired in some of its features, but man does it have charm and grace. The breakfast is wonderful and the staff is friendly and gracious. There are higher-end places and cheaper places, but for the location and all the positives that come with the grand George Hotel, there's no better place to stay for my money.
