I absolutely loved staying at the Mekong Riverview Hotel. It was in a great location, came with a free breakfast that was very nice, the woman in charge and her family did an incredible job of taking care of everybody’s needs and providing a great experience for all of us staying there. I actually felt like a member of their family by the time I left. If I came back to Nong Khiaw , I would only stay with them and not even consider another place. I’m still thinking about the wonderful time I had there.

We've stayed in the Mekong Riverview Hotel several times over the past 7 years and it continues to be a lovely place to spend time. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable and we love the large balconies. The friendly staff are a highlight and they always do their best to accommodate any request you have. Breakfast is simple but delicious and comes with lovely views at the riverside restaurant. Note: I recommend requesting a second floor room as vans tend to park out front during the day and block the river view from the balcony.

Wonderful stay

Wonderful stay at the Mekong Riverview Hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Large rooms decorated with antiques. By the river it captures all the charm and the peacefulness of Luang Prabang. A must stay for any travellers in the region.

Excellent Hotel in Luang Prabang

Located right on the river, this hotel has excellent views and easy access to shops and restaurants. The breakfast was phenomenal and the setting was very scenic. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Now, not all reviews can be perfect so if I had one complaint, it would be that the water pressure in the shower could be slightly better, but as it was, it was fine.

Mekong Riverview

Rooms are spacious and furnished with traditional wooden furniture. Staff friendly and helpful and location is quiet and at the top end of town with the best breakfast views in town.
