This is an amazing place to stay with the most comfortable bed, updated gorgeous bathrooms, and it's in the best the location ever with an amazing view of the ocean and the mountains on either side. I will definitely stay there again! Thank you!

Great spot in Malibu (and I have stayed in all the hotels in the area.) The room and property over exceeded my expectations. I loved the early check - in. Definitely a nice feature, in itself.

I enjoyed my stay at the property. It was very clean, staff was friendly, parking was easy, but my only complaint is that it’s very hard to miss because there’s no sign or anything that says the name of the establishment.

I was greeted in the office and it was a quick check-in to get my room key. Staff was friendly. My room was clean. There was a small refrigerator for me to use. I setup my computer on the desk space and was able to work from my room. Plenty of daylight and you could open the windows for a breeze of fresh air. The shades were blackout so you could get a good nights rest. Great shower, spacious bathroom. The ocean view was amazing, as were the adorable hummingbirds that played in the palm trees right outside my balcony. Loved the balcony. I didn’t use the pool but it was very clean and there were plenty of lounge chairs surrounding it to use. Parking was available. Location was walkable to grocer, etc. and to public beach access— so you can see and do plenty without a car.

Short Walk from Surfrider Beach

Stayed here for my surfing trip to Surfrider Beach, about a 20 minute walk but much more affordable than the closer options. A comfortable place to stay with helpful staff. Would stay here again and recommend.

Modest but simple, classic, comfortable, clean and (relatively affordable) beach and ocean facing motel with plenty of parking which is in scant supply elsewhere on this strip. Malibu Pier, beaches and park within walking distance.

The M is a true beach motel. It is on the inland side of Pacific Coast Hwy - with a number of restaurants within walking distance about a mile each way). The bathroom was clean and the room was comfortable.

Great location!

Great hotel for a weekend getaway. Located right across the street from the beach. Very close to all the popular dining restaurants. As warned it is on PCH so you will hear the cars driving by. But that goes for any hotel on PCH. Would recommend for a little getaway.

Great location!

Easy walk to Dreamland — a must visit — the beach and Malibu Pier. Great restaurant options. Sorta hidden, rustic upper patio great for viewing the ocean early morning wildlife and the sunset. Porpoise pods and diving pelicans!

I don't know why this place gets a bad wrap. You're obviously not staying in in a 5 star hotel, but this place was clean and safe. 10/10 would go again.

Hotel staff were very friendly, the room was very clean, and incredibly loud. It’s an old building, which meant you could hear the guests above you (rudely at 1am…) added to the street noise (which was unbelievable even with earphones) and the AC which wasn’t efficient, it made sleeping next to impossible. Great location, but won’t be coming back.
