The purpose of my stay was to be there for my son’s surgery at City of Hope Hospital. The Motel was terrific. Very clean comfortable stay 6 min. from the hospital. The surgery was a great success. I couldn’t be happier. The room was as pictured. Everything was great. I would highly recommend this Motel.

This is an older motel, but the rooms are renovated and modern. It has access to each room from surface parking right outside the door. The location is very convenient and near shopping. While it is a great motel for short stays, the amenities are limited.

First things first, the woman at the front was very rude. Her tone and demeanor were off putting. I booked this hotel through expedia, check in is at 3pm. I landed and got in around 2pm. I get there the parking lot is empty so I decided to ask if I could check in early, she says yes for $20, no big deal you got it, hands me a paper to fill out for the room and then she says I need to pay $25 for a security deposit. Again no big deal. Hotel standard procedure. I go to give her my card and she tells me no. Cash only. I don't carry cash. She tells me to go get cash and come back. There is a sign right next to the check in window that says card is accepted but she would not take it. Secondly. The rooms do match the pictures. They are clean. My fridge worked great. The linoleum flooring was peeling up in alot of places like it hadn't been glued properly underneath. The towel hanger was barely screwed in and was close to just falling off the wall. The bed is harder than the ground and was only 1 non fitted sheet. So halfway through the night if you move when you sleep you're bound to end up on just bare mattress. Only option for TV is cable. Parking lot is EXTREMELY tight.

The good side is the room was clean and a good size. The down side was the reception area stunk of curry and was quite un pleasant. The guy on reception could hardly speak English. He also asked for a $25 cash deposit for the return of the plastic door key. Thats a first? And the internet was dreadful it was almost in possible to get any.
