"We held a girls’ weekend at the Modern Farmhouse and thoroughly enjoying the space! It was clean, comfortable and 5 stars all the way around. Its location was perfect for the four of us, driving from different areas. The amenities were amazing. We really enjoyed our time there! Beautiful home, wonderful location!"

"Well stocked home made a very comfortable experience. Kitchen was large with plenty of dishes/tools and very clean. Lots of linens, soap, trash bags were a great touch to take the stress out of travel. Host usually replied quickly. Hot tub was clean and nice. Beds were small, but comfortable. The beach was our favorite part, great weather, very clean and LOVED the singing and. It was a good experience, would highly recommend, we had a blast! "

"This place has a beautiful view over housetops of the lake. Lots of seating on two decks for the view. Plenty of parking.The house accommodated our group of 15, with spaces to eat, put together a puzzle, play board games and be in the same area. A short walk to the beach. The host answered our questions quickly before arrival. The place is older but clean. The kitchen was supplied with nice pans and basic dishes."

"This is an amazing property, worked out beautifully for our multi-generation get together. The place is immaculately maintained and its spacious setting both inside and out makes for a comfortable stay. Lots of room for multiple simultaneous activities, ranging from a playroom area upstairs to a high ceilinged living room to a screened in porch adjacent to the kitchen and patio. It’s secluded on 20 acres in an otherwise dense holiday house community so surprisingly private. And the pool is great - quite warm during our mid-August visit and the automated heavy duty pool cover keeps it clean and provides a margin of safety for toddlers in our party since you can close it when no one’s swimming. There’s nothing I would change about this place, we’ve stayed in scores of vrbo etc places and this ranks among the best."

"The location of the property was misleading from its pinned location on the map provided when we booked. It is nowhere near the pinned location. Rather than a 7 minute walk to the beach, it was actually 25 minutes in 90 heat. We received the actual address after the cancellation deadline. I grew up in this area, so it was very clear where the house was located according to VRBO’s map. Disappointing is an understatement, as this was intended to be a beach trip. It’s simply not located in a desirable neighborhood, as it’s pitched. We rented two golf carts (for 700), so we could park at an old neighbor’s house near the beach where the house was supposed to be situated. While the house is brand new, it’s not finished. There are no lights in the ground level bedroom. The screened-in porch has no door, so sitting on the outside furniture in the thick of the woods is not an option. The lumber to finish the deck is stacked and there are random loose screws you can easily step on. The upstairs, where 4 bedrooms are located, never cooled down enough to sleep, so they moved to the unfinished basement in order to rest. There’s no walkway or light to the coded basement door, which is the only way to access the house. No bath mats or rugs in bathrooms. The linens are bottom of the line quality, made of polyester, which makes sleeping in a hot house difficult. I contacted the host requesting a 700 refund and he responded that he’d be reaching out to Vrbo. No response since!"
