  • I took this in March in Sintra, Portugal! It's at the fairy tale castle Pena Palace :). This is one of the lovely close-up views. It's is a Romanticist castle that stands on the top of a hill in the Sintra Mountains. And undoubtedly one of the most iconic places in Portugal. And a dream come true to visit it! It is a national monument and constitutes one of the major expressions of 19th-century Romanticism in the world. The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. This is a truly beautiful property and would be perfect for a destination wedding or other gathering. The guest house is magnificently appointed. The grounds are beautiful. There’s a swimming, pool and tennis courts. The host of the guest house personally greeted us. We had breakfast made to order on the patio. The only drawback is that it’s done a very dusty dirty road From the town

Absolutely extraordinary. The guesthouse experience is complete in every detail, and the grounds are a delight. The pool is charming and long enough for effective laps. The proprietor, Pascal Franz, is a charming and solicitous host. We are now thinking this is perfect for a family retreat. A wonderful break.

This quiet, clean, 8 room hotel is secluded but stil close to beautiful scenery and tourist sites. 45 min drive from lisbon. The owner and staff are friendly and make you feel at home. I won't go over every single aspect of the hotel. I had zero complaints. This was the best hotel experience I have ever had.

Omg, this is the most amazing and wonderful place we ever stayed in. You can't even imagine the combination of feeling home, cozyness and peaceful atmosphere. When we were coming we had no expectations as the pictures on the booking website were quite weak but when we came we just said : WOW. Thank you very much. We will try to visit you again.

Endroit magnifique et très calme. Hôtes sympathiques. À proximité de la plupart des sites intéressants de cette région, Cascais, les plages et la serra de Sintra avec ses châteaux et palais. Prévoir facilement un séjour de 3 jours pour tout apprécier et se reposer.

The place you want to come back

It is a very nice hotel! People are very nice! It can see the ocean from tennis court, The manger gave us a very good suggestion for walk down trail to the beach, the is the best party of our trip! We enjoyed our stay very much!

The hotel operates more as a high end b&b with alot of amenities. Draws a higher class clientelle which is 100% worth it. Very kid friendly also. Wonderful stay.

Great place to stay near Sintra

Great place to stay. Little bit hard to find. The host was fantastic. Did have some problems out of his control but was quick to remedy them. Quirky little place to eat not far from property. There are stairs to the rooms to be aware of.

Short romantic vacation

We wanted a quiet, peaceful place as a starting point for a sporty vacation and we got exactly what we wanted and the place is stunning. The location is great with short distances to Guincho beach, Sintra tourist attractions, Caiscas Marina and Coba de Roca to mention some if you have a car. We rented bikes and enjoyed sightseeing on our own from the house as well as played tennis on the property in the morning as they both had rackets and balls for us. We planned to stay two days but ended up with 3 days. The staff was really friendly and breakfast great on the terrace in the sun, we will come back!

令人惊喜的酒店，老板待客宾至如归，非常热情，酒店的装潢非常讲究细节，非常到位，小到门的把手，大至整座建筑，仔细看都能找到店家所付出的心血，到处都是古董玩物，就如同到了博物馆里一样，连吃早餐的台子都堪称古董家具，早餐非常丰富。此次入住简直物超所值！给满分。缺点就是比较偏僻，路不好找也不好走，但自己有车就不成问题。

Better than a four star hotel!

This Four Star Hotel, which is called a guesthouse due to its local vibe and style, was a much better experience than the "normal" four star hotel in Cascais we had stayed previously. Very good service, good breakfast, good company, and excellent location near the lovely Azoia village. We could see the milky way during one night on our honeymoon from the yard outside, such an amazing experience! Recommended to everyone! Go here, stop your typical beach and hotel plans and experience something of a more real Portugal! P.S. The rooms, and particularly the beds, are amazing!

Eine Oase der Erholung! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Wir waren für 5 Tage in der Quinta und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Der deutsche Gastwirt Pascal hat uns herzlich empfangen und täglich mit Tipps zu Ausflügen, Restaurants versorgt und dem Leben in Portugal begeistert. Die Quinta ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sind großzügig. Beim Frühstück bleibt auch kein Wunsch offen. Als dienstlich Vielreisende haben wir absolut nichts(!) zu beanstanden. Es ist ein großartiges Gefühl, sich rundum wohl zu fühlen und die Urlaubstage in vollen Zügen zu genießen!

Lejisimos!

El lugar es bonito, es una casa alejada de la ciudad, con varias habitaciones, acondicionada para hospedaje, limpio, y el dueno se esmera en dar buen servicio ..... PERO, cuando nosotros buscamos por internet un lugar para hospedarnos en Lisboa, encontramos este lugar que no es barato, pero como estaba ocupado por temporada al 95% los hospedajes, pues lo tomamos, este decia que estaba a unos cuantos kilometros de ahi (Lisboa), pero cual fue nuestra sorpresa, que estaba mucho mas lejos de lo que esperabamos, esta mas cerca de Sintra, pero eso no lo mensiona, asi que tuvimos que tomar un tren de Lisboa a Sintra, cuando llegamos ahi, tuvimos que tomar un taxi que nos llevara hasta este sitio (dos taxistas antes nos dijeron que no podian llevarnos, porque estaba lejos y no sabian donde era exactamente), despues de viajar un poco en carretera, empezo un tramo (no corto) de terraceria, como esta bastante escondido y reburujado el camino, pues tuvimos que hablar con el dueno en varias ocaciones, hasta que mejor nos quedamos de ver en un lugar cerca de ahi y fue por nosotros hasta ahi,....llegamos como a las 5:30 pm aun no habiamos comido/cenado, pues ya estando ahi, era caro y arriesgado regresar a la ciudad (Sintra) a comer (arriesgado, porque los taxis no te quieren llevar tan lejos de dia, creo que mas tarde es peor y mas caro!), asi que le pedimos que nos diera algo de comida (un sandwish), que porsupuesto nos la cobro caro y tambien nos llevo a Sintra y tambien nos cobro caro!

Tranquilidad absoluta

En cuestión de limpieza un 10 tranquilidad un 10 y atención del personal un 10..... pero un 0 en accesibilidad ( camino de tierra y se supone que es un hotel 4*) , las habitaciones grandes y cómodas, él baño (sin bañera) carece de atención, no tenía ni gel ni champú ni nada por el estilo, la wifi un desastre, y el bufé pobre en todo, No Volveríamos, con 200€ por noche hay hoteles que triplican los detalles
