Great place to stay overnight in Sintra, close to the historic centre. I had some reservations going in because everything was automated on their end. There was no person on site. I had tried to communicate with them, but got no response. So I was feeling stressed about whether everything would work out as promised.
When I pre-registered it also appeared as if the hotel was going to double charge me and I ended up having to get in touch with Expedia, but in the end, the billing issue was fine.
However, everything went smoothly. We had an access code delivered an hour before check-in for the front door and another code to a small safe where we got our key to the room. The room itself was large and modern and clean, and definitely met our needs.
Unfortunately at 2 AM two women in another room got into a massive fight and ended up having the police called in. Though not the hotel’s fault perhaps if they had a staff person there it could have been resolved. I highly recommend that the hotel change their administrative procedure and have a person available on site.
