"Upon arrival @ Flag Motel on Great Eastern Highway for our Birthday weekend celebrations, mine was Thurs, 19th & my Partner,Joe's is today,Sunday 22nd & we were sincerely impressed in seeing that The Flag is in our opinion,with respect a relatively older building, but with that in mind the gardens were in a lovely condition & well maintained (especially we were impressed with the surrounding trees & the carvings in trees of animals) Well done! The Pool area was immaculate & we enjoyed relaxing by the Pool for the afternoon! So the next day we were out most of the day, but returned in evening & enjoyed quiet time!
Upon awakening on Sunday morning, ready for our usual cup of tea & coffee, Joe noticed ANTS on the kettle, he wiped them off, then making the cuppas ANTS were in our cuppas, so we weren't going to drink them, Hubby decided he would rinse them out & showed me how many were actually in the kettle, he was a good 10 mins cleaning that kettle out or rather rinsing it & finally seemed satisfied that we can try again for our cuppas!
He also noticed them in the kitchen, also bathroom, not as many but they were there!
Overall we were really satisfied with the room & everything, bar the ANTS!!
Thanku & we would love to come back sometime, as long as the ANTS are gone!!

"Wasn't given ground floor room as requested and guaranteed by manager the previous week were there. Carpet had stains all over it. Dishes were still wet in cupboard. Bathroom was disgusting. Never again "

"Great room with a premium river view outlook. BUT...Please clean your windows so the price tag reflects the view. They were extremely dirty.
Be aware of an hour check in at 3 and waiting 40 minute's to receive our car out of valet was very unfortunate as well.

"Staff very friendly. Great value stay. Central location. Air conditioning worked well. A bit of an older property but we didn’t mind at all. Would defo stay again.
Only thing I’d suggest is providing bedside lamps or reading lights. It’s the first hotel I’ve ever stayed without them! "

"Staff was very kind and friendly , the area was beautiful and it was very nice and clean. Staff had no problem to come to us and walk us in when we came late at night. The beds were nicely done, bathroom very clean and it smelled nicely."
