「Were it not for a hurricane, the grounds around the main house would be beautiful. The owner/operator family, like other victims, is building back as quickly as possible. The interim condition of the exterior shows what they went through.
The unaffected main house and our guest room were well-appointed and very attentive.
The breakfast buffet provided to all their guests was extraordinary extravagant, as delicious and varied as you’ll find anywhere! A true 5-star experience.」
「Bed was not super comfortable. Inner spring mattress…? Bed felt somewhat hard and uncomfortable- but linens were clean and comfy and bed wasn’t impossible to sleep in- just wasn’t the most comfortable I’ve slept in- not a deal breaker and I’d stay again. I think it is an area that could be improved. 」

「Enjoyed outdoor seating and breakfast! Bed was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Towels were nice and we appreciated extra set from the beginning.
Although the room was large and had been cleaned, there were a few stains on the carpet and the dresser/console had several nicks, paint touch-ups that were noticeable. 」

「The room was nice. The bathroom was nice and the bed was comfortable. The only complaint I would have is that the carpet needs to be removed. It was wrinkled in places and had large dirty spots. Otherwise, the room was quaint and looked like it had been renovated recently」
「We stayed 3 days and we enjoyed this hotel very much. Accessibility to major spots were excellent and Harris Teeter was within 10 minutes from the hotel. Only complaint can be less availability of kitchen such as sink, pot and microwave machine. But we could survive with ready-to-eat meals. Overall we recommend this hotel.」
