"We really enjoyed our stay at The Silver Tree Cabin. It was just as described and shown in the pictures. It was very clean and was also very well stocked, We also enjoyed being able to travel with our dog.Wayne was an excellent host. Something we really appreciated was the Ingle's discount cards available for use. The kitchen probably is stocked with enough dishes and cookware to cook a holiday meal if you wished to do so.The decks really allowed us to enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains from the cabin. The fenced in yard was really not usable for us. It is pretty steep as are the steps going to it.I would definitely recommend staying there if you are going to visit the Lake Lure area."

"We stayed there recently and we absolutely loved the pool and the hot tub. Shaun and Jody are amazing hosts. Our cabin as one of the cabins that isn’t quite remodeled yet but it’s in great condition and was big enough for an entire family ! It was spotless and the bed was comfortable. My only wish list was to have a mountain view but for the price I’d definitely stay there again. We loved how close we were to the lake and Chimney Rock. Great place to relax and breathe in the fresh air."

"Beautiful house, but could use a little updating, still a lot for the price! The refrigerator wouldn't make cubed ice, just crushed, and got stuck in water mode, we would just pull out icemaker to get what we needed, maybe owner can fix for next. The thermostat is programmed on some kind of temperature zone and isn't the most user friendly. We would get temp where we wanted but it defaulted while we were out. The location is very secluded and peaceful. The driveway is definitely steep! We parked in the two spaces in front of house. Room for 2 mid size suvs. Very spacious home with more than enough room for our 5 and a dog. Just be aware if you want to go into chimney rock area or the Ingles grocery nearby, that the Buffalo Shoals road bridge is closed from 8 to 5 on week days. That piece of info can save you a extra 20 minutes travel time when bridge open! Overall it was a peaceful stay, and we enjoyed our time!"

"Great location and incredible view of the lake. It was wonderful to wake up and drink our morning coffee sitting on a private dock watching the sunrise over the lake. The rental provided an equipped kitchen, a gas grill, firepit, and access to their kayaks and canoe from the private boat dock. It's a secluded cove by the dam and a no-wake zone, so you don't have to worry about boats driving by at full speed creating waves and noise while you are swimming or lounging. The only downside was the number of stairs. It was about 40 stairs from our car to the rental and another 40 stairs from the rental to the boat dock. However, the stairs are well-lit and wide. Just be prepared for a little hike down to the lake. We would definitely stay here again."
