Condo was absolutely dirty even the linens and couch cushions had what appeared to be fresh bodily fluids on them. The refrigerator was broken, one of the Lanai doors was stuck shut, the en suite bathroom had a constant running water sound in the wall, the entry closet door was off track and unable to close, both bathrooms were extremely dirty with fresh stains on the floor and the countertops, both bathroom cabinets C had water soaked damage on them and were warped and crumbling. Some of the primary bathroom shower fixtures were broken, the drain cap was missing and the door lock was also broken. The extra blankets in the closet had fresh stains as well as a horrendous smell. This is only part of the list of health and safety issues we experienced. We contacted the management about our issues and received apologies with no form of resolution or acceptable form of reimbursement. We even had to wash our own blankets the only night we stayed because housekeeping did not answer their calls to replace with fresh linens. We called VRBO to help but they refused to refund us and stopped corresponding. We booked via VRBO trusting they are vetting the properties listed on their website, but we were sadly mistaken. The room was close to $600 a night, at that rate, we should at least expect a clean room. We have now engaged our lawyers and filed a complaint with better Business Bureau. Do not trust what you see on VRBO’s website. Spend the extra money booking direct.
