"The 'tree house' did not disappoint. All the amenities we expected and more. I think we got to see one of the world's largest pinecones ... those trees were amazing. Be aware that there are about 90 steps up to the house from the parking area, but once you are in, it's just wonderful. All the amenities of home but the feel of a cozy cabin. We didn't take advantage of the hot tub, but the porch and deck were so very enjoyable in the mornings and nights. It was also a very easy drive in to Julian and the surrounding area. We saw sooooo many stars and golden eagles. We can't imagine finding a better experience at the price."

"We have stayed here several times. It’s very comfortable and clean and has everything you would need so no need to bring a lot of things with you. It’s a very relaxing time and there are plenty of places to hike all around the area. I would recommend it highly"

"What a fabulous little cabin at the top of the hill with a marvelous view. This was exactly what we wanted. Felt remote but safe…rustic but modern amenities…just loved it!We cooked, played music, danced, and napped. We also kayaked and hiked all around the lake and visited Julian. It was a perfect little getaway from the city.Dana was responsive and communicative. They have a great place there. We will definitely be back!"

"This cute little house was just what I needed for relaxation and solitude. It's on a very quiet road. The only noise was the wind in the trees and the birds singing. The outside seating options provided plenty of places to enjoy coffee, a barbecued meal, or just having conversation. The decor inside is thoughtfully put together, and very comfortable. I visited the California Wolf Center, which is conveniently located only a mile or so away from the property. It was certainly one of the highlights of my stay. I would definitely consider staying there again."

"This is a lovely home about a 8-10 minute drive from Julian. It was spacious enough for cozy family dinners, movie nights, and for relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. We had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The AC worked great which was very important for our trip during the summer. We enjoyed watching the sunset out in front of the house and the stars at night on the deck. Our dog was also welcome. The home is perfect for a beautiful mountain retreat."
