「We had a wonderful four-night stay! I was pleasantly surprised to find the cabin so fully equipped. There was coffee, tea, creamers, dishes, pots and pans, aluminum foil, a s’mores kit, bug repellent, three bundles of firewood, and so many other thoughtful touches that made our stay even better. The layout of the cabin and all the necessities were clearly well thought out. I’ll definitely come back when I get the chance!」
「The Hudson Whaler was in quaint downtown Hudson. It is a restored older building with all the beautiful woodwork intact. The room was spacious, and the staff were both friendly and helpful. 」
「The Wick is conveniently located literally across the street from the Hudson NY Amtrak rail station. My room was very nice, spacious, with comfortable bedding and lighting. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a problem with my stuck entry door and it was immediately addressed. Bathroom was very spacious - good water pressure and quality amenities. I had a full American breakfast in the lobby area and it was tasty. I felt safe as a solo traveler - not that the property is at the end of...
「the bed was ok, but the room was clean and inviting. The owners were great people. Always stopping to talk when ever they saw me outside. Very very friendly. will be staying there again. for sure.」
「The owner is very very nice. We biked from nyc, and heading to upstate NY. We booked this hotel at the last minute because it's close to empire State trail. The room is quiet and clean. The owner allowed my kids to pick the strawberry, raspberries and tomatoes. Everything tasted so sweet right off the vine. This literally made their day. The hot tub was so nice after whole day of biking. The ice cream that the owner made was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel if you stay in this...
「This well maintained retro hotel brought back childhood memories of trips to family run resorts. Simple but relaxing. Hospitality from a nice midwest family. 」
「An okay place to stay for a night. The room was comfortable but definitely looked like it had received minimal upkeep over the years. The shower water smelled a bit sulfuric and wouldn’t stay warm/hot. It was fine just for one night but I wouldn’t recommend staying longer since the amenities were a bit lacking, which is not too surprising given it is a small motel in the mountains. One plus is the property manager was very kind and welcoming. 」
「Amazing ambience, lovely scenery upon the bank of Hudson. Easy drive to Hudson and Bard College. The only thing to mentally prepare for is that life is not as fast paced as NYC. Go with the flow and be nice to the staff because during high season they take care of lots of people without up staffing. 」
