Room clean , nice bathroom, comfortable bed. Helpful owners turned on heat for us to pre-warm room and provided us with plastic utensils so we could have our yogurts in the morning! Would stay again!

The room was clean and spacious. Easy to get into and leave. The bed was incredibly comfy. The heater struggled a little with how cold it was (less than 20 degrees) but we kept it on the whole time and it was adequately warm. The bathroom was very big and the shower was really nice.

Wonderful, exactly what we were looking for. Clean and comfortable, right in the heart of the Catskills. Allowed for a great night's sleep and a quick start to a day of exploring.

We were in town for a wedding and elected to stay at the family owned Overlook Hotel. This hotel is under renovation and coming along nicely. The rehabilitated buildings come with luxurious fixtures and relaxing decor. A perfect retreat! Being that it is just up and running, some ammentities will need to catch up. If your stay in the near future requires anything in particular, be sure to communicate with the owners- i am certain the be sure you have all you need!

This is a new boutique hotel that has virtual check in and check out. But there is someone readily accessible if you need them. The room is large, the bed is comfy, and the bathroom - amazing! Very modern with a shower stall that has a super fancy shower that's rain shower, hand shower, waterfall and jets. And one of those neat toilets that wash you and dry you. Theres no restaurant or cantine if you want to eat, but there is what you need to make coffee or tea.

In the Pro column, the owners are extremely friendly. In the Con column: there is no signage that we could see so finding our unit in the dark was difficult. More to the point, there is virtually no outdoor lighting and the paths and steps really need upgrading, so it was actually quite dangerous. We had two beds, but the mattress for one was very old so there was a big dip in it. Lots of little things were missing: no Kleenex, the coffee station had no stir sticks (we ended up using the ends of our toothbrushes!), and only one packet of sugar. All in all not great, which would have been ok but the room wasn't cheap.

Our room was large and very clean. The owner, Jessica, was very helpful and responsive. The property is being renovated and improved. Not much around the area for coffee or food, although Saugerties is only an 8 minute car ride.

Don’t Overlook this Hot Hotel!

This brand new mod style low-fuss high-amenity hotel is a great getaway. We had a double bed room which, to our great joy, it turns out each bed had its own lil room! The shower was excellent and the double sink for a double room was a nice touch. Nice lil outdoor area to sit and have coffee in the fresh morning air!

Must-stay!

We are local, but needed a place to stay while our house was having some work done. We were so excited to see The Overlook was open, and I'm even more excited that we booked! They're still finishing the property so not all rooms are available, but I can't wait to visit when they're all done! Beautiful rooms, kind and flexible owners - a must-stay if you're in Saugerties! The luxurious bathrooms are a huge bonus!
