Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Lets start with the good, overall the staff was amazing, helpful and kind. The pool & common areas were absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The food was tasty and there were great selections. I liked that there was security around the areas.
The not so great- When I arrived the front desk continued to ask for my Kuwaiti ID although I am clearly not from there. When assigned my room it took me forever to find the building, It would be helpful if the buildings were labeled. Neither the security guard nor the people at the SPALOON could direct me in the right direction which I thought was weird. Although my room was overall lovely, the bathroom was not at all up to what you expect from "The Palms" the ceiling did not meet the walls and there was pieces peeling and falling, there was mold at the base of the shower and the tiles were dirty.
The sensor on my television was broken and hanging off the front of the screen making it very difficult to work the remote and see the TV.
Lastly, I had an appointment for a massage, when I arrived I added a body scrub. each session is supposed to be 60 min but I found my self "complete" and walking out of the spa after only 90 min. so the services were nowhere near 60 min each. Even with the discount I have gotten better and more service for better prices in the city.
Overall the hotel is good and there were certain 4-star aspects but in my opinion not worth the over 200$ price tag.
It was good, but definitely not value for money. For instance, the rooftop restaurant, to our disappointment, was not a rooftop... It was the top floor. They had a huge selection of food, but it was either very dry or extremely bland... We were also disappointed not to get any info on what was going on in the hotel; it was only after we left and made the remark that we get updates on a weekly basis (a bit too late now). Finally, if you're someone who believes in eco-friendliness and who tries to make a small difference in the world, this is not the place for you...Once again, it is pleasant, but there is a lot of things they need to work on to explain the price they set up...
I really recommend this hotel ! We enjoyed our stay there. Just to point out that we forget our camera bag we went home and got a phone call from the hotel saying that they found our camera bag in the room !! They care about their customers!!

Even though booking is available on Expedia, they don’t let single people check in. There’s nothing mentioned on Website about your marital status snd when you show up they‘ll let you know that they weren’t able to proceed with your checking in process.

The main reason we stay there was for the swimming pool. The pool was closed at the time we are checked in.
Nice stay but after one week in the Middle East staying in different hotels, it was quite expensive for the confort and service (180€ per night). Not a charming hotel.
Nice view on the pool, great breakfast, busy gym area, but the whole place seemed to lack a soul, and the hotel staff looked bored, and did not like their daily job
Horrible stary, I booked for three nights and on the second night the reception calls me saying that I’m not allowed to have female friends in the room (in the most disrespectful way), given they were guests at the hotel as well. I ’m not sure what did they think we were doing all we wanted was to have our dinner and watch our movie in peace. We packed our stuff and immediately went to Jumeirah Beach Hotel, had an extraordinary stay there. Basically we just paid for a hotel that we didn’t even stay in. They refused to refund us.
