A beautiful property, well maintained, clean and in a good part of the city.

This place is a total gem. They only have 11 rooms so the staff really gets to know everyone. Amazing staff. The rooms were so cute and comfortable. There's a fun little place to eat Okonomi a minute away, but not much else in this quiet neighborhood. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but you can get a breakfast basket in the morning. Hiroshima Station is an easy 15 minute walk away. Delightful stay.

This was by far the nicest room/resort we have stayed in. After being cramped in many Japanese hotels and ryokans, this was much much larger with three queen/full size beds, a 65" TV and an outdoor bath (mineral salts available in the lobby). However, please understand that as this location is very remote, dining options in the area and transportation may be limited. This may be why we didn't see any foreigners there? However, they do provide pick-up service to and from the Shin-Iwakuni station...

Perfect hotel for our honeymoon. The room had a beautiful view to the sea and nearby islands. The breakfast was very complete consisting of multiple small dishes. Everything was high quality, the rooms, the onsen, the lounge area, etc. Most importantly, the staff and the bartender (Kai) were super helpful and welcoming.

The Granvia South Gate is a great location and hotel in Hiroshima where we would definitely stay again! Next time we would probably get a larger room, as the premium room is a bit on the small side. The western style breakfast was good and the only thing i would change there is the end time from 9:30 am to 10:00 am. Very quiet hotel near the airport and MCAS Iwakuni. The staff are friendly and helpful. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. Plenty of parking available. They have a laundry on site as well.

Great place

The property was exquisite and the view was wonderful. Also, the breakfast was the best and the staff can't be beaten. This hotel was within close walking distance of the train station and trolley. This made navigating very easy.

Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Some spoke English very well. Breakfast buffet was outstanding with traditional Japanese dishes along with American style items including a cook to order omelette chef.

Our first trip to Hiroshima, so obviously our first trip to this hotel. Great location, easy to walk to streetcar stops, convenience stores, Peace Center, restaurants. A good stay in Hiroshima at the Mercure - centrally located and about a 20min walk from the train station or take a short tram ride from the station. One thing that drew us to this hotel was the washer/dryer combo in the room. They also provide detergent. We were able to get three loads of laundry done BUT it takes approx 3.5hrs for each load (washing and drying) so plan accordingly. The hotel is immaculate and staff are very polite. This place amazingly Clean and modernized. I love how they give out amenities at the reception area. They even have an osen, only issue is that I needed to cover my tattoos (which is fine, I respect the culture - thankfully the reception desk gives out concealing stickers for your tattoos).
