夜は意外と涼しかった
冷たいウエルカムドリンクが有り難かった。1階建のバンガローの方でなく2階建のアパートの方に泊まった。1月だったがエアコンなしファンのみとのことで暑さを覚悟していたら、意外と夜は涼しく、蚊帳なしでも蚊も殆ど出なくて拍子抜けした。併設レストランでカトレアの花で飾られた焼きそば80THBが美味しかった。部屋の前に洗濯物ロープが張ってあり、 手洗いした洗濯物を干せた。

Excellent hotel. It’s rustic with a lot of nature around and the rooms were separate from each other, which give you a lot of privacy. Room was clean and very comfortable. The restaurant’s food was amazing. The staff were really friendly and nice. The view from the restaurant was spectacular and very relaxing. We will definitely go back.

Highly recommend!
Lovely place, lovely family. Very quiet! Very clean! A bit far from the main strip but the owner gave us a free ride to the ferry!

Had a great stay. The bungalow we stayed in looked as if it was newly built or renovated. The staff was very helpful. Will definitely be staying at rapala next time in railay.

We were excited to stay in a bungalow and thought it would be a romantic experience. However, it felt like we were camping outside. The non-flush toilet was definitely a surprise and hindrance since we paid extra for a private bathroom.

The staff went out of their way to help me get my luggage from the west beach ferry drop off. They have interesting wild squirrels, frogs, and monkeys. It is tucked into the side of the cliff with wonderful views!

Fajny, prosty budżetowy nocleg.

El lugar es bastante bonito, tiene un pequeñita piscina y como está ubicado en lo alto, tiene un servicio de elevador para equipaje, tú subes por las escaleras. Yo tuve una habitación con baño compartido, las divisiones son de madera, utilicé una ducha y no había agua caliente.

We really liked in general. The staff was very friendly and lay back. They organised a cute free christmas dinner with games and presents. The bungalow is good. And we loved to relax on the hammock after a busy day.

Don't expect it to be a 5 star place but it was pleasant for the price. The bed is comfortable, bathrooms are clean. Check in was smooth, welcomed with a soft drink. The stairs to the resort is a little bit tough with your luggage. Breakfast is ok at resort but I felt the whole beach had okish food everywhere. Overall pleasant experience for what you pay for.

For short stay ok. Room was ok, like you are in Thailand, in the forrest, dont expect anything else. Testaurant was good. Pool looked cool. Bathrooms however.. lets just say its thailand , and this is a cheap OK place to stay. Thabk you so much for a nice nigth :)

When I booked this hotel, it had a 4-star rating and the pictures looked cute and homey. When we arrived, it looked like there was construction happening on several of the huts, so maybe this explains the discrepancy. The room was fine for the low price, though the light was extremely dim inside. For me there were two dealbreakers: the bathroom (toilet was flushed using a bucket of water, shower was just a head in the middle of the room with no tub, door or curtain) and the lack of a safe (it was recommended that we keep our valuables with us at all times rather than leave them in the room - which made me uncomfortable given that this is a beach town and we were planning to leave our bags on the beach while swimming). The lounge/restaurant and pool areas were really cute, but we ended up booking a different hotel in order to keep our wallets and passports secure. Location was all right - though it is technically on the beach, you can’t swim there. The better beaches are located on the other side of Railay, about a 20/25-minute walk away.

Great value and location for backpackers!
Decent place out of many options in the area. Restaurant on site (breakfast available at discount - alright). Good bed, A/C, a bit noisy (thin walls and the pool is center to most of the lodges) but not something we considered an issue (if you are a young couple just remember the thin walls) ;) Staff (the local family) are very friendly and helpsome, and the room was good. Be aware that the toilets are manually flushed (!) - We did not mind.. all in all a very decent place for backpackers, close to all the sights and with a chilled atmosphere. Good value for money. PS. We were there in the rainy (low) season.

Loved the chill out area and really loved the huts. Yes they’re basic but you’re staying in the jungle so what can you expect! People who leave bad reviews are obviously expecting 5 stars. I loved this place. Great food too and friendly staff.

Rapala is easy walking to everything in Railay (as everything is). The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in the budget option which was fine although the (shared) bathrooms we're in need of a proper clean or renovation. There is a small pool to cool off in and a cozy restaurant on premise. Overall it was fair value for the cost.

The staff was very personable, helpful, and inviting. They went out of their way on more than one occasion to make me feel like I was a special guest. On top of that, the location is great, the food was excellent, and the facilities were very comfortable. You could very easily waste away a day or more lounging around here, but don’t forget that paradise is waiting for you, just below!

Un des moins chers de Railay, mais mauvais rapport qualité prix pour les chambres avec ventilo et salle de bain privative, surtout à cause de la salle de bain. Un peu excentré à Railay est, mais les distances ne sont pas trop grandes. Grand escalier pour accéder à l'hôtel. Partie chambre vétuste et faite de bric à brac. Tâches jaunes et marrons sur les rideaux. Moustiquaires des fenêtres trouées (de toute façon il y a aussi des trous dans les murs). Porte vers la salle de bain en ruine. Partie salle de bain vétuste, dégoûtante et dangereuse. Je pense que le ménage n'avait pas été fait depuis plusieurs années (mauvaise odeur, eau voire pire au sol). Pommeau de douche fuyant de partout. Pas d'eau chaude dans la douche. Pas de chasse d'eau pour les WC. Escaliers pour descendre dans la douche dangereux car deviennent glissants après la douche (comme le pommeau met de l'eau partout). Matelas correct et moustiquaire au dessus du lit en bon état. Ventilateur un peu faiblard. J'aurai préféré dormir à la belle étoile sur la plage et me rincer dans la mer...

Convenient to west Railay
We stayed in a fan room underneath a mosquito net. We only had one mosquito in the bathroom. The son of the owner is very nice and speaks very good English. There are termites in the wall, you heard them when you sleep, termites no bedbugs. They provide drinkable water every day. Nice lounge/restaurant area to hung out. Convenient to do the walk to west Railay, only 5 min.

Room without wc. Was tight but we expected it. WC/showers were fine. Restaurant is fair priced. Small swimming pool is appreciated. Langur monkeys coming down from trees before sunset was quite awesome. It's a bit of a climb up to the hotel. Noise level of the neighbourhood at night was reasonable for a good night sleep. The beach close to the hotel is a sewer (literally smells of it but hotel is way up the hill so it's a good thing!) so you will need to go to Railay West (7-10mins walk). Railay West, don't expect a quiet beach as the longtail boats keep on humming all day long uninterrupted. Ao Phra Nang Beach is quieter but you have to tourists come by boat to visit the cave. All the beaches on the west have shade.

we were quite disappointed of the conditions of the bungalow. it was full of termites and every day we had stuffs in our bed . We couldn’t use the chairs in the porch because they were very dirty. Also the bathroom was old and worn out and not entirely clean. It all looks much better on the pictures but the place needs serious make over. Note you’re surrounded by other bungalows- the reception on the other hand was very nice and friendly, food was okay but not awesome.

En el check in me pidiron un deposito por la llave, al hacer el check out me devolvieron menos dinero, cuando pedi revisar los videos para q rectificaran el dinero q les habia dado, el encargado de la recepcion me dijo que iba a llamar a la.policia!, algunas personas q atienden no hablan nada de ingles y es super dificil la comunicacion con ellos...Las habitaciones tienen una limpieza aceptable, el baño esta muy mal! No hay agua en el.inodoro y debes llenar un balde, la ducha esta justo en el lavamanos...

L’équipe du Rapala est très sympa et serviable, l’hôtel est bien situé pour aller se balader dans l’île et trouver un endroit sympa où manger ( the tree bar est assez cool ) La chambre est ce à quoi je m’attendais pour le prix, parcontre la salle de bain était pleine de sable et pas très agréable mais bon dans l’ensemble, pour le prix de la nuit je ne m’attendais pas à du grand luxe.

Mysigt, bra läge och trevlig personal
Mysigt hotell med trevlig personal. Vår bungalow var en av dem liten dyrare men vi vaknade upp med myror i hela sängen och eremiter som tuggade i taket så vi hade små spån i hela sängen både innan sngdags och på morgonen. Kändes inte jätte mysigt... men förutom det var de mesta bra.

Railay is expensive so in terms of Value Rapala is on the expensive side but is the cheapest bungalow you will find in the area. Termites and cold showers are things you just have to be ok with. Bar staff and owners Son are awesome. Some of the other front desk staff look kind if miserable and don't say hi back so dont bother being nice with them. The guy and the lady who clean the rooms are always really smiley and nice. All in all we love kt and have booked here now 6 times
