Livonian Homestead "Mežmaļi"

Livonian & Latvian Homestead "Stūrīši & Branki" offers guest accommodation in 4 houses owned by our family, quietly situated in the picturesque historic Livonian fishing village in Mazirbe, Kurzeme. Each house has a unique setting, history and style, varied types of rooms and amenities. We welcome you to get "back to basics", experience great food and hospitality in the middle of the countryside.


THE HOUSE:

The household "Mežmaļi" is a completely private house with kitchen, porch and garden full of fruits and berries. This house has a true Latvian grandmother feeling and it hasn't been renewed as extensively as the other houses. The price for this location is significantly discounted. The house has the capability to be flexible with bed arrangements and sleep up to 11 people.

Breakfast is NOT included in your stay & can be ordered for €9 per person.

"Mežmaļi" has a fully equipped kitchen and a truly one-of-a-kind setting, where you have the opportunity to sleep and live in a setting which people in our village usually had in their houses during the Soviet era and a time before. Please explore the pictures carefully to assess the property for yourself - all pictures have a description.

Please be aware that there is no toilet with running water inside the house. Instead, you will have an outhouse next to "Mežmaļi" and an access to a shared guest bathroom on the premises of our Summerhouse, which includes a running toilet. A true back-to-basics in countryside experience!

EXTRAS:

Children are welcome and we can arrange a crib.

A traditional firewood heated sauna (hot rocks and steam) is available for hire to all guests who stay at least 3 nights.

The family of "Branki" also provides excursions, guided tours and information about the local points of interest. If ordered in advance, large groups can have a meal here - up to 160 people in the summer.
