Amazing location right on the beach.
Friendly staff who helped us with sorting out visa extension, motorbike rental and taxis. Cosy hut which was perfect for a couple and seconds way from the beach, pool and restaurant. The food in restaurant was amazing and very well priced. Could eat there everyday. In all, very very good value for money. Would stay for longer next time. (stayed for 3 nights). Would definitely recommend staying here.

Op zich een redelijk onderkomen, zeker voor die prijs. Wel zijn de bungalows gedateerd. De douche en wc zijn te gebruiken maar er komt niet veel water uit. Ligging is goed, direct aan strand.

Great, quite but used
The location was great but the room was too small for us as a family of four. We left a few days earlier because there was no water in the shower. I really like this little place with a great location and friendly staff, but two years lockdown has left it’s marks, and the place really needs to be renovated.

Nice seaside resort
Bungalows facing the sea were nice with A/C and good WiFi. Slight problem at check in as I had specifically booked a room with a double bed, but only one with two single beds was available. Problem was rectified on the second day. Friendly staff and nice restaurant. Would stay again.

This hotel was right on the the sea couldnt be any closer. The room was perfect and the staff were very friendly. I will defo return and I would love to take a lady there for a romantic getaway. The sun sets were the best i have seen. Thank you for making my stay perfect!

Great stay!
We loved our stay here. It was a perfect beach paradise. The villa was adorable and a great value for the price. The views from the pool were breathtaking and the service was great. We enjoyed siping coconut juice for cheap from the poolside overlooking the water. A great stop for anyone! Gorgeous sunset! About a 40 minute walk from the pier, 5 minute walk to other restaurants and had paddleboard rentals nearby as well!

My and my family (age range: 17-59) had an unforgettable week on Koh Phangnan staying at First Villa Beach. The property is nice and has proper Thai charm - very authentic! Although one can see that the place was one of the first tourist accommodations on the island everything was clean and working. The place, although various different types of guests (families, couples, backpackers), was very quiet both during the day and at night. The location is also ideal to discover the island since everything is fairly close. The staff, mostly Burmese, were absolutely fantastic! Super friendly and always helpful but at the same time not intrusive at all. We'll definitely come again!

Hotelanlage ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Hier wurde augenscheinlich nur das Nötigste investiert. Das Badezimmer war eine mittlere Katastophe (heraus fallende Amaturen, Schimmel in den Silikonfugen, im Ventilator und in den Gardinen), fast vollständig verkalkte Duschbrause etc. Auf Reklamationen des Gastes wurde nicht eingegangen! Ebenfalls war kein Zimmerwechsel möglich! Nur 1 Handtuch pro Gast/Tag (für Poolbenutzung, Dusche und Waschbecken). Das einzigst Positive war die ruhige Lage direkt am Meer. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat absolut nicht gepasst!

My boyfriend and I stayed three nights here in mid August. The room was very clean and spacious, as was the bathroom, and the amazing balcony- all of which had incredible, expansive ocean-views. The hotel seems to be eco-conscious in regards to the use of water, which some might find to be inconvenient when flushing the toilet, etc. This hotel is perfect for those who want to get away from the noisy nightlife, enjoy a pristine ocean-front pool, and listen to the sound of the wind in the palms as you wake up in the morning. The beach does not offer much for swimming, but it's great for walkers and wind surfers. It's an easy ride by shared-taxi to the Half Moon party .…. You can rent a scooter for a good price at the front desk, and you'll need it to get around to some better swimming beaches.

The staff werent overly friendly. Staff had a tough time looking for our booking as well they thought we hadnt paid for the room so they tried to make us pay again. We also tried booking a cooking class through the hotel but we couldnt because the manager wasnt there, so dont rely on booking activities through this hotel. Food was pretty average. Its a 5 minute walk from the main road so the taxis wont drop you off at the door, which at night time is quite scary.

3 day stay around half moon festival, great service and free body and face paints! Nice pool area. Restaurant ok, room with AC recommendable. TV with a few channels, reception varying. Clean at first sight. Shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance.

Am allerbesten ist das Personal. Bo Bo ist ein Schatz. Das hotell liegt unmittelbar am Strand und ist in der Nähe vom Pier. Zimmer sind vollkommen ok.

Nice bungalow by the pool next to beech
This is the second time I stayed here. It is so clean and tidy. Staff are there to improve your holiday. For from the kitchen is very good. There is lots of fun here. Stayed next door until my room was available. No comparison. This is the number one place to stay.

Stuff is super nice and the location is great. Rooms could be a bit cleaner but in general quite ok. It's fun staying there because everybody is nice and will help you with everything. The rent scouters for 200/B per day and they are in good condition. Also the restaurant has good thai food even if it is a little overpriced. Solid stay in general - i can recommend it.

Good location on beach access via rutted track next to school playing field. Amusing friendly host BeauBo with good English.Bungalows not modern but certainly adequate. Nice pool but some WIP with toilets+. Would go back there.

Nice relax in front of the beach
Attention was great, specially BoBo was really nice and helpful always! It's a good place to have a rest in it's small but great pool in front of the sea. Bad thing of the location is that it is not really close to city center (you can rent a cheap bike there) and that the beach next to the hotel is not really a beach. Bungalow was really nice and quiet, but decoration would need to be renewed and the smell was not very good in there...

The bungalows are quite basic and the cleaning could be better. But the hotel staff is very nice and friendly. The pool is right by the sea so it's very relaxing. The hotel restaurant has a good menu, fair prices and the food was always good.

Wir haben auf Empfehlung einer Freundin die First Villa gebucht. Ich bin noch in keiner Unterkunft so herzlich empfangen und betreut worden. Das komplette Personal war super!!!! Auch das Bungalow mit Blick auf Pool und Meer war super. Essen und Getränke auch super. Mein Freund und ich haben wirklich gar nichts zu beanstanden und wollen auch wieder dahin.

Lage, Positives, Kritisches: Lage ca 8 Gehminuten zur Hauptstraße. Der Strand überall am Baan Tai ist nicht zum Schwimmen geeignet, stark zeitabhängig und nicht sehr sauber. Daher haben die Resorts dieses Strands meist Pools. Wir hatten einen Beachbungalow mit schönem Blick über Pool und Meer. Das geräumige Zimmer ist gut ausgestattet mit Ac, 3 Betten, Schrank und Safe. Bad mit Badewanne als Dusche...davon später..... Die quirllige Besitzerin versprüht noch die Thaifreundlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft, die man nicht mehr oft findet. Sie empfahl uns den Rollerverleih Sriphangan, der korrekt abrechnet und nicht zur hiesigen Rollermafia zählt. 150-200 Baht am Tag, je nach Verleihdauer.Roller werden ins Resort gebracht. Kritikpunkte waren für uns die Situation mit der Dusche. Diese Armatur und das Fenster dahinter strotzen vor Rost und Grünspan. Des Weiteren hat uns sehr gestört, dass das Bettzeug und vor allem Handtücher nicht richtig gespült waren. Alles roch nach Waschmittel oder Weichspüler, Dadurch waren die Handtücher total schwer und trockneten nicht. Wir würden wiederkommen wegen der Atmosphäre, eigene Handtücher mitbringen.

Best place for party-goers!
We booked this hotel for 2 nights for the Half Moon Party. I highly recommend this place for party goers as it ended up being a very fun experience! They organize a pre-party where people get to know each other. Bo-bo, one of the employees offer some cool painting for everyone and she also answers any questions in a very good english. Finally, they organise transport for the party. About the hotel, we had a very basic bungalow, clean and comfortable. The hotel is directly by the water, but the Ban Taii beach is far from being the best place to do beach stuff. There's an OK pool and a very good restaurant. Very good service overall, one of the best I've seen in SEA. Note also that this area has not much to offer, not much restaurants nor stores. All in all, it's the best place for nearby parties!

I stayed two nights and this was a good budget hotel with nice staff. The pool was nice, the beach in front of the hotel wasn't great but it didn't matter at all. It was a little way out of town but I didn't mind. I was there outside of the Full Moon party period and found it quiet (maybe too quiet as I was on my own!) and relaxing, but just as I was leaving lots of people were arriving who I'm sure had a great time. They were helpful and arranged a taxi to get me to the ferry port on my last day for a reasonable price. Bobo and the other lady are really lovely and clearly care about their guests.
