But also only a short drive to restaurants/shops in Kissamos and Chania. Our children loved the outdoor cinema and pool, the outdoor space is great for families. Manolis was always happy to help with recommendations for beaches, restaurants etc and goes above and beyond what most hosts do for their guests."

You do need to check into the actual hotel (which this is not, this is the villas), which is like 5-10 mins away by car, and I'll say this now that the hotel does have a restaurant. It was nice that when requested, they quickly delivered an iron and ironing board since it wasn't already inside our villa. The whole property was really clean and well maintained. "We had a great stay here - house was beautiful and well equipped and the remoteness and private pool were great for a relaxing stay in Crete. While you are about 20 mins outside of Chania it served as a good base for all of the western beaches and attractions while still close enough to Chania for dinners and exploring. On top of that Erato was super hospitable and responsive to our needs - highly recommended!"
