"I stayed in the Spike cabin number 7.It was awesome. I really want to thank Pinewood Team for their service and cleanliness. The room, kitchen and washroom was neat and tidy. Their housekeeping team needs to be appreciated for the amazing job. I will strongely recommend Pinewood for its cleanliness, prime location which is 5-10 minute walk to CBD and Gondola and value for money. You can watch detail video in my Youtube channel KATHMANDU TO KIWILAND. "
"The Kamana Lakehouse is exceptional. We felt very well taken care of our whole stay. The front desk staff was extremely accomodating, holding our bags before check in and taking them to our room and booking a taxi for an excursion. The servers and bar staff we're great as well. The food was the best we had on our entire trip to NZ. The included breakfast in the morning is completely worth it!
It's easy to get to the wharf via Uber or the bus. You can also walk to the Sunshine Bay Track nearby for an easy hike. There is a restaurant and convenience store across the street as well.
There is construction going on nearby, I was worried this would be more disruptive but it wasn't too bad. It was active (and loud) during the day. It did affect the experience in the soaking tub, so if you can, book after 6pm when the construction is done for the day."
"Great view of the lake, good to have balconies on both floors (living & bedrooms), good free parking, lots of room. Apartment was a bit dark & dingy, tired-looking, not overly clean & fresh, restaurant was terrible - poor food, no atmosphere."
"A beautiful hotel on the lakes edge. Rooms were spacious, the view was incredible, they had a great breakfast selection, carpark was just across the road.
Only thing was, it’s a slight drive out of Queenstown, but very close to airport.
There is the option of the water taxi which runs every hour and picks up straight out the front of the hotel. $10-$14 one way "
