A wonderful stay, friendly staff, comfortable clean room with very large bed. Amazing breakfasts and evening food. Safe parking and lovely location. Only minor issue was it was advertised on Expedia as separate shower and bath when in fact it was shower over bath. Thank you for looking after us.

It is very close to Sandringham which is why we chose to stay there but the nearest restaurant is a distance away so we ended up eating in the hotel’s restaurant each evening. Everything else was good

A hotel with so much character, which has been modernised to provide a great experience. Staff were incredibly polite and helpful. Great range of breakfast and dinner menu supported by a wide range of drinks. 100% recommend this hotel if you decide to visit Norfolk.

We had a wonderful stay at the Kings Head Hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was wonderful. The only problem we had was that the bedroom was so hot. A fan was in the room, but it was impossible to sleep. Would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel.

Ok for a short stay.

A nice hotel, but the plumbing in Room 109 was a bit temperamental. The shower took ages to drain and it wasn’t possible to use the bath because of this slow draining issue. We told Reception who sent maintenance to look at it. The same problem occurred again, so we gave up. Nobody is on Reception after 10pm, so you have to let yourself in at the back door. There was no air conditioning, but a fan was provided. Be aware that Room 109 has some noisy electrical equipment outside, so that’s going to disturb your sleep if you have the window open (due to lack of air conditioning). Room 109 is at the edge of the building, so you’ll hear the traffic going to the car park, the road noise and the noise from the people drinking outside. There is no fridge in the room, so the bottled water was warm. Ice was provided when we asked, but it melted quickly as the room was so hot. A comfortable, good sized bed and, apart from all the points above, an otherwise comfortable stay. No decent vegan options on the menu. The avocado for breakfast has seen better days. Portions were small for the price paid (even though breakfast was included).

A hidden gem of a hotel

This hotel doesn’t disappoint. The staff are not just efficient and friendly but happy doing their jobs, whatever they do. That reflects back onto the experience of staying here. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and so comfortable. The restaurant is well organised with plenty of menu choice including vegetarian food. Breakfast is from a menu and individually prepared, thank goodness there’s no buffet. We felt quite spoilt with the attention we received. This is our second stay in this hotel and we will definitely return.

We were given an exceptionally warm welcome on arrival and the warmth continued throughout our stay. I could not fault this lovely little hotel and the icing on the cake was the cuisine, which was exceptional.

Lovely, comfortable hotel. They made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. The bar and restaurant food were very good and the service was excellent. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious. The bed was comfortable. No buffet breakfast, thank goodness, there is a breakfast menu which should suit most people.

There was no hot water for our last 3 days & no heating. Appreciate things break down but no communication. So no showers and cold in our room but nothing done to help even though we told manager. Very noisy music on Saturday pm and rowdy group at the bar Sat night. Our dining table was right by them. Small refund given for inconvenience re 2 days but should have been for 3. Will not stay here again. Bit of a ‘Fawlty Towers’!
