"The staff was great. The breakfast was really great. The man the handled the breakfast was extremely hard working and should be recognized by the owners for his professionalism. My 2 complaints are that the tv's would not allow for closed caption and I could never get the tv's to work on the elliptical trainer or treadmill. The tv's would come on but I could never get any channels. There were not instructions or channel lineup"

"Very nice clean room. Really enjoyed staying here. Located near a great bbq restaurant and the hotel had a very well kept fenced in dog park. Beds super comfortable. Bathrooms very up to date and nice and clean. "

"The hotel (Mount Vernon Hotel and Event Center - no longer exists under this name) has changed management and did not allow us to stay. They said they could see our reservation and were willing to cancel it, but it was booked under a previous management and they did not allow any pets, so we could not stay with our dog. They said they credited out account, but I am still being charged the full amount by Expedia and it is, so far, very difficult to contact Expedia for a credit. We ended up rebooking at another hotel so this mixup is both annoying and costly for us."

"It stayed nice and cold in our room. Tons of channels to watch and it had a really clean and nice shower."
