Old with an interesting history and situated in pleasant grounds. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant was excellent although a bit pricy. Room was on the small side but lovely. Only issue was the two large steps up into the bathroom with no handrails. Some people may find this problematic.

The hotel.was ideal for us, we bought our dog and was ideal.for that. The lake was disappointing but we went out and about and had a lovely time. The Singapore noodles were nit spicy at all as they should be but all other food was great.
