Terrible first impression- got to property and couldn’t get in the front door, we thought it was operator error. Finally called the owner, and she thought we had never finalized our booking. I assured her we had and somehow we got disconnected on the phone. Tried three times to call her back, she never did answer the phone again. But she texted that the girls had changed the code for the door. That’s all she ever communicated. The house was nice enough. Some people thought the shower was positioned wrong. Overall, our time there was nice, since we were exhausted from the festival. There were nice elements to the house. If you have more than three cars you will have to figure out where to park.

Cute little house very close to restaurants and shopping

Spent one night with grandparents, teen. In town to pick up kids from camp. Very clean, well accommodated and cool decorations. Grandpa taught granddaughter a few cords on a guitar that just happened to be laying around. There are some steps to the back of the house. We used all 3 bedrooms. If you rent just two, there could be someone else at the back of the house but it has a separate entrance

Great house

Our family enjoyed the weekend at The Starkey House. We plan to return. Clear communication with owner Keri prior to arrival. House is exactly as represented in photos-only cuter. Very clean! Enjoyed biking the river trail through the big cypress trees along the Guadalupe to Tailhead Beer Garden. Lots of room to get ready for a friend’s wedding. Kids enjoyed the hot tub. We took pictures with the welcome signs. Great house. Don’t hesitate to stay here

Wonderful Property!

We had a great stay at the property. The location to the walking trail was fantastic. The house itself was clean, spacious, and had a great table to all gather around for dinner and games. The hot tub was an added plus. I would highly recommend this wonderful property.

Wonderful Stay in such a CUTE home

This home was simply wonderful! Its probably the BEST appointed and thought-out VRBO that I have stayed in!!! Plenty of EVERYTHING! Fantastic layout, nicest decor! There were 6 of us and there was so mych room. Everything worked, notes everywhere about how to use things, a vacationers Delight!!!

In the perfect place

The 6 of us had a Wonderful stay at Starkey House! The host decorated everything with USA flags in honor of our 2 Veterans, making our stay memorable. We enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub relaxed us for peaceful nights. The local deer wandering through the neighborhood were a surprise! And the river walk right down the street was perfect!

Perfect location and amenities

You can’t miss with this stay. We had 3 couples. Space was great for socializing. Loved the Bohemian cottage look. Every need was anticipated. We enjoyed the hot tub. Location was minutes from everything! Really loved our stay. Would definitely come back again. Communication with Keri was fast and very helpful! My husband said property was just perfect!

Cute, clean and comfy!

This house was perfect! Loved the collected decorations and attention to detail. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and everything was very clean. We only stayed for one night but would love to come back and stay longer. There was a great area to hang out outside with fire pit and dartboards. Highly recommend, we will be back!

Wonderful gem of a house in a great location!

The Starkey house is a great house with all the amenities a family needs/wants. We rented the whole house for our family of 4 and used everything at the house including the hot tub, fire pit for s’mores, washers, and darts. Nothing is left undone at the property, and comminucating with Keri was a breeze. She provides a list of fun things to do/places to eat in the area, and we took advantage of her suggestions. We are an active family so we took the bikes on property to the trail and we also ran on the trail, right by the house. We tubed the Medina River (close to Bandera) and drove to Canyon Lake to tube the Guadalupe as well. We also went horseback riding at a ranch outside Bandera. Overall, we had a great vacation exploring the hill country and just doing things and experiencing the culture of Kerrville and surrounding areas. This property is a gem and did not disappoint at all. A major plus for us is they accept pets because we travel with our 2 pups. Definitely check out the Starkey house! It’s artfully decorated, and it had everything we needed!

The Carter-Marshall stay at the Starkey House

My husband and I, along with our canine family, had a lovely time staying at 201 Starkey Street. It was convenient to the River Trail and all the major cross streets in Kerrville. We spent most of our time exploring the River Trail and the surrounding towns. The bikes were a plus for my husband and he did much of his explorations on his own. The dart boards were appreciated as well. The home had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, (as we are accustomed to Sleep Number beds.). So that is saying a lot! I slept like a baby there. Our dogs enjoyed being in a new place and we had no problems with the fenced yard the owners provided. Since we are scouting out potential hill country retirement destinations, we will definitely return to the Starkey House. My husband slept in "The get Away" and enjoyed his man cave immensely. Keri is a wonderful host and answered all my questions perfectly. Thank you Keri and Patrick.

Cute house, excellent service.

The house was very comfortable and nicely distributed. It has a fun back and front area for play and hanging out. Walked the trails just a couple of blocks behind the house and the kids and dogs enjoyed it very much. The owner was very sweet and her customer service was great.

Five stars! Stayed here for a Bachelorette weekend

This property owner leaves no detail unnoticed, this home was very clean and beautiful. Every bed and even pullout couch was comfortable with memory foam mattresses, soft pillows and bedding. They provided a cute message board that they customized for the bachelorette, games to keep us entertained, and even had prepared the fire pit for us to just light and enjoy. The property is already perfect, So any future additions are just an extra added bonus :)

Perfect Birthday Weekend!

We knew the Starkey House was going to be amazing but we never could have guessed just how much our expectations would be exceeded! No detail was left unnoticed. Everything we needed for a full weekend away was made available for for us! The outside space was perfect for us to sit around and enjoy drinks and play games. The bedrooms could not have been cozier, everyone in my party had the best sleep! We cannot wait to visit this property again. Owners Keri and Patrick truly went out of their way to ensure our stay was top notch!
