Reasonable nice located motel

It was very smooth to check in. The room was fairly big for two people. Nicely cleaned and was close to almost everything!! On top of those, the price was very reasonable. There was not a thing to complain about. We would love to stay at this motel when we visit Kenora next time!!

The bathtub stopper didn't fit. And the shower was either all hot, or all cold. When told about this in the AM, the attendant said "Oh it's one of those", as if the problem was known. Everyone wants a shower! This is a fail.

Paid for a non smoking room. The room smelt so strongly of cigarettes that my eyes burned just being in the space. Was refused a different room, refused a refund because I didn’t flag the issue within 30 mins. Had to leave and book a different hotel just so i could breath through the night.

Check in was across and down the street at another motel! Some notice would've helped. Felt foolish standing in front of the motel, no office in sight. Had to hunt up the phone number, which wasn't immediately found online. Room seems ok. Haven't tried sleeping yet. Someone left a pile of garbage on the stairs and lighting on the 2nd story balcony is nearly non existent.

I had a really unpleasant experience, and the room was way too small. Plus, the bathrooms had a really strong, unpleasant smell. I switched rooms, but the same thing happened. I wouldn’t recommend it. Thanks

There is a fundamental issue with the plumbing. We checked into a room on the bottom floor and it smelled so strongly of poop that we lasted only a few mins before we asked to move. They moved us into a higher unit (side note: the service staff are fantastic) and entering the new unit it was obvious from the heavy use of lemon scent that there was an attempt to hide the smell. While the smell took a few hours to resurface and was lessened in the top floor unit (which would make sense if the smell is rising from the sewer), by midnight the smell was very clearly back. 0/10 do not stay here until they issue a notice saying the plumbing is repaired

We stayed at the Traveler's Inn for two nights, in September 2025. The Traveler's Inn is an aging motel that has had a renovation not too long ago. The check-in process was a bit unexpected as you must go to the Travel Lodge across the street to check-in and get your room key. Thankfully, one of the other guests let us know. We did the same for some other guests the next day. The Traveler's Inn is conveniently located for travelers using the Tras-Canada Highway, as the motel is immediately adjacent to the highway. As the highway traverses Kenora, the speeds are reduced to 50 km/h, so road noise is not noticed in the motel room, most of the time. The downtown core of Kenora is a short drive away. Wi-Fi worked well and room key did not need to be reprogrammed as we have had that as an issue at other motels/hotels in our travels. The Traveler's Inn meets the needs of travelers.

The Traveler's Inn was a good basic hotel with a comfortable bed and good temperature settings. It's inexpensive by Kenora standards and I would recommend it. The Traveler's Inn must have an arrangement with the Travelodge across the road. We arrived late and had to check in at the Travelodge to get our Traveler's Inn key. This would not normally be a problem, but I have mobility issues and we had to cross the Trans-Canada Highway from one hotel to another, without a traffic light or crosswalk.

We booked the room prior to reading the reviews. The reviews for this facility were terrible. We asked for a refund but the agent that I chatted with on the Expedia app contacted the hotel and asked for a refund on my behalf but was denied.

We arrived there around 12 am to quickly sleep before having to drive again. First there was a lady walking down the road that wouldnt stop talking to me even when my dog wouldnt stop barking at her. Later on there was a drunk guy throwing cans on the floor infront of the building and check if doors on the motel were locked and peaking threw the windows. The bed sheets had blood on them and the floor didnt feel very clean. The bathroom was clean and the staff were very helful. I wouldnt recommend this property because of how bad the area is.
