Good basic and clean place only 15 mts walk from station. We were stranded at Karuizawa due to bad weather and had to book it at last minute and we were happy with hotel
Hotel was a little too far to walk from the JR Station. On a weekday evening, there were no food outlet or restaurant nearby. The only one was a bar with a solitary ukulele musician who strummed some Hawaiian melodies as he tried his best to sing in English. The operator was a one-man show who took an hour to serve my wife and I our order for a plate of beef rice and a plate of chicken rice. When it was time to pay, he then asked for a "music charge" of 500 yen per dinner!!!
Small hotel with friendly & helpful staff; walking distance to Prince Outlet & old Karuizawa street; breakfast not too many varieties but nice & sufficient.
Shortage is - no elevator, not too convenient for carrying heavy baggages.
