2 couples from Indiana meet a couple from NC for the weekend. Plenty of room, beds were comfortable, nice big table for us to play board games on. We did bring food which was good because there is nothing in the area. Didn’t use the grill was very dirty bring foil if want to use it. Did drive down to New Bridge Gorge not much to do specially in February. Very nice big house for us together & just hang out
Great Stay- Easy Access to National Park Activities
We stayed for the weekend for a friends rafting trip. The park was 30-40 minute drive but super easy to drive to and on the same road. Parking was a little tricky at the end of a dead end street but we made it work. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We hung out on the side deck that had an awesome view of the river. I would definatey book this house again.
We enjoyed our time. The house was larger than expected. The beds were very comfortable and there was more than enough towels for all guests which i feel like lacks at times with rentals. Parking wasnt the most ideal but we were able to make it work. The hot tub was not in working condition as expected which was a disappointment but the rest of the house exceeded expectations. We would stay here again for sure.

The property itself was great, however the house across the way didn’t seem to like people being around. They would block the car in, and drinking and noise at night while working on a truck in the road.
All in all, the house was well taken care of, clean and conveniently located to local sites. It had plenty of room for all 9 of us. The children had a blast in the game room and the hot tub, and can’t wait to go again.
We recently stayed at this vacation rental with our friends, bringing along our group of six boys aged in their teens and twenties. Booking the property was a breeze, and the entire process was seamless.
We enjoyed an evening in Charleston(ate a pies and pints- highly recommend ) , visited the National Park, nearby falls, and went white water rafting.
The boys had a fantastic time at the property enjoying the hot tub, pool table, and foosball table. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The property manager was incredibly responsive, providing us with excellent suggestions for local activities and answering our questions promptly.
A couple of things to note: the shower in the master bathroom seemed creaky, you'll need to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, soap, and hairdryer. However, the provided toilet paper and paper towels were of nice quality, which was a pleasant surprise.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and recommend this rental for a good priced stay for families or groups looking for a fun and spacious place to stay.
This house has a lot of room. Large kitchen supplied with basic necessities. Dinning room table that will fit 6 off the kitchen and eat in table that will fit 5. Very large master bedroom and bath, with a trundle and king size bed. 3 additional bed room with full or queen size beds and a bedroom with twin size bunk beds and a single. Another full bath up stair and a half bath down stair. All bedrooms and full baths are upstairs. Tammy was wondering! Responded quickly and was incredibly kind.
Parking is very limited and tight. The house is about 40 minutes away from the national park and major grocery stores and restaurants. The embankment next to the river is very steep.
Overall we had a great time together in a house that could fit multiple families on the river.

A lot of potential
If you are looking for a home with lots of bedrooms for couples, this might be ok. The hot tub was nice and the individual bedroom AC units and comfy mattresses. I liked two linen closets, one on each side of the house. The laundry room had a nice washer and two dryers. The view is beautiful. However, unless this property is spruced up, updated and safer, I would not return. Our family members are seasoned short term renters. This property is not priced fairly. There was no working ice maker, which a large family needs. The pictures are outdated. They show a nice patio area with a table, umbrella and lights. We arrived to moldy cushions on a bunch or dirty chairs and moldy cornhole bags atop a table. I had to clean the patio before anyone could use it. I attempted to move the table from where it was shoved against the railing and my leg barely missed going through a loose board. There was no hazard sign. There were used pizza boxes in the fire pit. There were dead bugs behind the jacuzzi tub. There were dead spiders in several places in the house. One was atop one of the beds! Two outlets in the kitchen did not work. In looking for the circuit breaker box, my husband discovered exposed wiring, which is an obvious fire hazard. All outside stairs and porch have exposed areas, a hazard for children. The main staircase to upstairs is entirely open on each side with only one handrail which is too short. There are multiple places for an accident. The trash bin was disgusting.
What a great house. Amazing house in this area. The train at night in the hot tub on the river was cool. The trip through the mountains was great. Highly recommended 5 star place.
We planned a group vacation to GatlinburgTennessee and the Kanawha house was perfect for us for a halfway stop. Even though we only stayed for one night all of our group was really happy with the house. Everything was as described.
Overall was happy with the stay. We were looking for a place near New River Gorge National Park. This is about a half hour drive from there or Hawks Nest State Park. We did some white water rafting, hiking and explored Fayetteville. There was a leak in the main bathroom shower onto the floor next to the pool table. Contacted host and they got someone there the next day to patch it up! Super quick responses to the other questions I had. It would have been nice if there was some sort of welcome packet with local places to go and check out info, etc. Also would have been helpful to know we needed things such as dish detergent that in other places Ive stayed were provided especially since the grocery stores aren’t super close. Family had a great time though and enjoyed the stay!!
