Property was exactly as described, and the setting/location was even better! Property management team and booking management team were all super supportive and responsive. Loved our visit and looking forward to visiting again!
This house has so much going for it. Just a super location, lots of privacy and fantastic sunset views. The pool and spa were outstanding, and Kris (the property manager) responded to a couple of minor things we needed help with immediately. The property probably could use a little updating, but that didn't impact our visit at all. The availability of two close resorts for a daily fee was well worth it. Outstanding trip!

Great property that needs some attention
Great house - layout, view pool, etc, but the property needs some attention to be offered at this price point / affiliated with Mauna Kea. Upholstered furniture is very dirty and worn and the house needs a deep clean. (window sills, baseboards, tile) With the exception of some new chairs outside, furnishings are very dated -- and not in a charming old Hawai'i way. Appliances need to be replaced.
House manager was fantastic and responsive to things like the AC being out when we arrived and amenities that were low. (detergent, dish towels)
Overall great trip. Can't go wrong with a house at Mauna Kea.
Wonderful home, fully appointed in a great family friendly location
This was a great place for two families (4 adults, 3 13-16 yo children). Bedrooms have AC and house is completely stocked to make the trip easy. Would rent again.
Really enjoyed! Constructive thoughts-
Internet was slow,
Really could use a pair of binoculars for whales
Etc..
Kitchen was well appointed
Mattresses were very comfortable
House is beautiful. Check in process needs to be changed as no one went over everything and management could step up their response. Windows and exterior of house could use a cleaning.

Best and the worst
First the land on which this property sits is beautiful. You have amazing views of the resort and the ocean. Sunset is beautiful. This property is all about potential. This home has clearly been “let go.” The mid-century modern feel needs to be freshened up. The home needs a new coat of paint and a deep clean. The air conditioning in the bedrooms is inadequate and the master is a sauna most of the day/night. As for the rest of the home, the valley in which this home sits does not allow for a nice breeze to fill the open air areas that do not have A/C…leaving the living room and kitchen unbearable. No family could gather in these rooms comfortably. This home could be so much…if it was just painted/cleaned/kept up. Kudos to the property management company who after we sent pictures of the home condition relocated us to an amazing property so our vacation was not ruined. I would stay away from this home unless the price is dropped significantly.
As advertised, clean, well equipped, quiet and great location on the Island. Highly recommend this property and the management. They were very responsive and accommodative with some minor request.
the house was fantastic, particularly the outdoor area - pool, sitting / dining area and views; we enjoyed having access to Mauna Kea Resort beach and restaurants; could not recommend this luxury property highly enough
A perfect home for our family with 3 adult “children” for a much needed vacation. Super cool vibe, pool and spa, beautiful view and sunsets, stargazing, WiFi and Sonos speakers.. and comfortable beds for all. Fabulous location… easy check-in…and option for Mauna Kea daily resort fee a huge plus… worth the money. Don’t need to venture far for fun… except Manta Ray night snorkel in Kona. Mahalo!
