朝食が美味しかった。手作りジャムの種類が豊富。トイレがワンフロアに１つしかなく、誰かがシャワーを使用している間はトイレが使えないのがやや不便。 Breakfast was good. There is only one bathroom on each floor. Staff was kind and helpful.

Kálfafellsstaður Guesthouse is a quaint, quiet B&B about 20 minutes NE of Diamond Beach. The property is clean and picturesque. Thora's breakfast was delicious and diverse. There's a sweet church next door and a cemetery that produced some lovely photos. She has a no shoes inside policy. No problem, but I would have brought slippers if I'd known. The room is small and it is a shared bathroom, but when we really needed to go and another guest was in there, Thora said we could use another one downstairs. The only other downside was not the property itself. It is a long way from restaurants and they close early compared to the U.S. Even the 24-hour gas station stores were closed. So if you stay here, I'd bring some energy bars or frozen dinners and put them in the downstairs fridge just in case you can't find a place that's open. It actually might not be a bad thing if she sold something like that for people who weren't about to pick up dinner. Overall a lovely place to stay. I would definitely stay there again if I have an opportunity to go back to Iceland.

This guesthouse was amazing. The shared bathroom was kept immaculate all the time. Beds were very comfy. Nice to have a sink in the room. Thora was a very welcoming host and her homemade jams at breakfast were super tasty. Very comfortable. Perfect location off the ring road very near the National park and glacier lagoons. Very pleased with our stay.

While the host was fantastic and made a lovely breakfast. The bed and room is very comfy... It would be nice to have a bit more than a hot water kettle or microwave for a small warm meal after traveling in the cold all day. I was really glad to have had a cup of noddles. as I did not want to drive to another "hotel/guesthouse" for dinner. I had planned a head and am traveling with some groceries for easy meals on the ring road... as you cannot always depend on restaurants.

Nice breakfast, with the owner being quite hospitable. Location is close to Jokulsarlon so makes boeing those areas easy during non peak times.

I loved the staff, their hospitality and free breakfast were wonderful. I also loved the quaint location and the size of our two person room. Showers were also very clean and in good condition!

The feel gives the sense that you are really staying in the countryside of Iceland and not some touristy spot. Remote and quiet, with a beautiful small church right next door. I would have enjoyed seeing inside the church, but it was closed.

Wondering Cozy Country House

What a wonderful and charming place to stay. In a quiet area with no one around, the host is welcoming and friendly. The beds were cozy and comfy, the room was adorable and the breakfast was basic but so nice. The homemade jams were interesting and delicious! WiFi worked well. Room and shared bathroom was clean. I would stay here again without question.

Lovely place to stay ! Felt like home !

Wonderful stop in this lovely Bed & Breakfast. It really felt like being in Iceland with the locals. The owner was adorable and very present, always checking that everything was ok and that I didn't need anything. I loved chatting with her and finding out more about Iceland and the area. She is definitely the best of hostesses ! Nice breakfast area and nice breakfast with homemade products. Great view on the northern lights the night I stayed there ! I would certainly go back there on my next trip ! Thank you for the warm welcome !

This is an old farmhouse with incredible charm, carried through by the wonderful owners. While we stayed, only the wife, Thora, was caring for the home while her husband visited family out of the country. She was efficient, helpful, caring, and great to talk with. There are a few house rules with the shared bathroom and for quiet hours, but they were not handicapping in any way. The rooms are small but definitely large enough for two Americans who chronically overpack! There is a sink in your private room. There is a gathering area centrally located where you can meet other travelers to compare travel notes and where you eat your breakfast in the morning. My husband and I are very private, introverted people and this is usually not our preferred type of lodging but we are so happy to have had this experience. Plus, we got to view the Northern Lights here!! Icing on the cake. Thank you, Thora, for opening your home to so many travelers.

한국분이 볼진 모르겠지만 작성해봅니다 1.일화 주인 부부가 너무 좋았어요 정말. 저한테 있었던 일 하나를 적어보자면 숙소에 들어갔을때 차에 이상이 있는상태여서 혹시 가까운 카센터가 있을까 물었더니 카센터는 없지만 남편이 차를 봐줄수있다면서 필요하면 말하라고 하더라구요.(너무따뜻) 그래서 부탁드렸더니 다음날 체크아웃할때 오셔서 다 봐주시고 안심까지 시켜주셨답니다. 너무 감사했어요!! 2.화장실 다 깔끔했고 샤워헤드가 분리되는거여서 씻기 편했어요. 주인분께서 바닥에 물떨어지는거 조금 조심해달라고 하시더라구요. 비품도 다 넉넉했습니다. 물도 잘 나와요! 3.방 친구랑 둘이 묵었는데 정말 좋았던건 방안에 미니 세면대가 있다는거였어요!! 정말 편하게 잘 사용했어요. 그리고 작은 쇼파도 있어서 너무너무 편하게 쉬었어요 4.위치&들어가는길 정말정말 아쉬운게 딱 하나 있다면 그것은 바로 위치ㅠㅠ 주변에 진짜 아무것도 없습니다.. 혹시라도 저녁에 체크인 하신다면 가벼운 식사거리나 즉석밥정도는 챙겨가시는게 좋을듯해요. 마켓도 없고 주유소도 없어요.. 이전 마을에서 해결하고 오시는게 가장 퍼펙트! 들어가는길이 어두울땐 정말 헷갈려요.. 표지판따라 대문통과해서 들어가신 다음에 두갈래길에서 왼쪽길로 들어가시면 숙소표시(침대모양)가 있는 화살표가 있어요. 그쪽으로 가셔서 길 나있는대로 오른쪽 뒤로(빨간건물뒤로-창고같은?) 꺾어 들어가시면 2층에 리셉션이 있답니다.(뒤로들어가는길은 해지고 가시면 길이 없는것처럼 보여요) 저는 해지고 체크인에다가 구글맵에 길이 다 안떠서 살짝 헤맸어요ㅠㅠ 5.부엌 다른 아이슬란드 숙소에서는 다 취사가 가능했는데 여기만 유일하게 취사가 불가능했어요. 물을 끓이거나 전자레인지 사용은 가능했어요~ 6.조식 아이슬란드 숙소 어느곳에서나 먹을수있는 아침식사입니다~~ 직접 만드신 쨈도 같이 나와있어서 저는 맛있게 잘 먹었어요! 정말정말 너무 좋은 숙소였고 주인분도 너무 친절했습니다♥ 반찬으로 깻잎을 따로 챙겨갔는데 궁금하셨는지 물어보시더라구요ㅎㅎ 혹시 망설이고있는 분이 계시다면 무조건 추천드려요!!!! 가격대비 혜자인 숙소에요!
