Booking and check in were very easy! Grandmas private room was amazing and Kelli was so accommodating and helpful! I would highly recommend if you’re going to be staying in Juneau! So close and convenient to everything!

A peaceful stay in Mendenhaul Glacier valley.

There was a small glitch with my reservation, but the property manager immediately corrected it to my satisfaction and earned a 5 star rating. A lovely stay close to the glacier and bus line ($2) to downtown Juneau. Stay is very clean and well equipped. Highly recommended!

Very conveniently located, close to Mendenhall Glacier, downtown Juneau, the airport, Auke Bay, and the National Shrine of St. Therese (which is a beautiful place to visit). Kelli was very communicative and responded promptly to all my questions. Our unit and the common areas of the house were clean and homey. Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable. As others have said, the shower is tight, but there was a full bathroom on the second floor that could easily be used.

Good location

My friend and I stayed here for a few days of vacation in Juneau. We had a vehicle so that made our stay super convenient as we were near the airport and ferry terminal, and could easily make the drive into downtown when we wanted. The house was super clean and tidy, room was comfortable and check in was very easy. Only note was there was a massive wasp nest outside of the bedroom window which was interesting to watch but meant we couldn’t open the windows! I passed this on to the host who sounded like they would deal with it as soon as they could. Overall great stay.

Comfortable and welcoming stay

GrandmasBedroom is an awesome place to stay while visiting Juneau. We stayed in grandma's bedroom. It is a large and beautiful room with a very comfortable bed. There's a coffee pot and coffee for your use. The bathroom is adequate although the shower space is a bit small. If you are tall, you can just use the shower down the hall. The shared kitchen and dining area is perfect. There's plenty of space and plenty of cooking utensils. There's even a freezer which we used for storing some fish we were bringing home. There's a washer and dryer for your use. The house is located about 1.5 miles from the Mendenhall glacier and a couple of miles from the airport. Grandma's house feels like home. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend it. 5 stars!!

Grandma’s House Weekend

We were in Juneau for a wedding and Grandma’s House was conveniently located near the airport, Auke’s Bay and downtown Juneau. While we appreciated the location, the house is on a very busy street and there is loud traffic from early morning until late at night.The room was as described online although it could use some attention to detail as the doorknob came off the bathroom door, as did one of the window openers. Doors were also squeaky.Communication with the host was slow, taking hours to get answers to my questions and getting check-in details came down to the wire.With a bit more attention to detail and maintenance, Grandma’s House could be a nice place to stay.
