「My husband, college-aged son, mother, and two sighthounds stayed at the Ocean Hideaway to escape the fourth of July fireworks. The location was amazing and private, with daily deer sightings and many types of birds to observe from the large windows overlooking the ocean. We stocked up on groceries ahead of time (with one visit to the Fort Ross store) and spent most of our visit hiking or hanging out and looking at the waves as they crashed against the rocks of the cove. 「I was a bit hesitant as the pictures looked almost too perfect, like they were generated or altered. Nope: the views are just as pictured. We spent much of our time entranced from the many indoor and outdoor vantage points. Even the kitchen sink has a view! Heed the warnings about no children: there really is no grace here as the cliff is for real. We were able to scramble down to the cove on the north side but be careful on the others much of the trails are loose. Fort Ross market up the road...
