A Letdown
Although the cabin was neat and Clean, we were disappointed in several things. The main thing is that we thought we would have a private hot tub. Although there may have been one on the property somewhere, there was no information in the cabin, letting us know where it was located. There was no information in the cabin at all. We are accustomed to having a notebook that tells us places to eat and visit. We also had no instructions for check out. We had what we needed in the kitchen, but if we had had children with us, it would have been poorly stocked. There was no iron or blow dryer in the cabin. When someone came to replace the battery in the smoke alarm that had been chirping for four hours, she went to the main house and got the iron from there and suggested I knock on their door and ask to borrow their blow dryer when I needed it. This is after we were told that they would bring us one, which they did not.

Agent apparently neglected to inform gate at Big Canoe of our arrival or at least the gate guard said they had no such notification; luckily our friends who we were going to meet had vouched us in; unit had not been well cleaned; heating system inadequate for the unit so we borrowed some space heaters from friends; unit description said it slept 4 apparently based on availability of an inflatable air mattress which we could not find; no shampoo, soap or other typical amenities that we are used to seeing at VRBO units; also no coffee which, again, we are used to seeing.

Property was absolutely beautiful .. very clean well maintained a little confusing getting there the first time a very large development but BEAUTIFUL property and area .. Was greeted the second Morning by a Momma Feet and her Twins right off the back Deck. Absolutely beautiful property and Great Host's Highly Recommend

Our Stay
This was a beautiful place to stay and we enjoyed the wooded private surroundings. We did miss some of the standard amenities such as hangers in the closet, iron and ironing board, tissues, and dish washing soap and sponge. We would definitely recommend this place to others and if we have plans to visit this area in the future we would love to stay here.

Awesome little cabin
No problems. We loved the cabin. Very clean, roomy, and just as described. It was perfect for a couples weekend. The front gate hadn’t got my name on their list, so they were difficult (they wouldn’t call the property owner even though I had a screen shot of my reservation). It took me a minute to log on due to poor cell service. Once I was able to do that and call the owner, she remedied that immediately. *my beef was with the gate attendants and not the property owner. But I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Water Park
We booked the property because of the nearby lake beach and pool. It was a lovely water experience. The cabin was just right for what we needed. Host was very cordial.
