The Ahmet Efendi Evi Hotel is a very nice and unique accommodation in Sultanahmet. The main attractions, such as the famous Hagia Sophia or the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, were all within walking distance. The staff was really really friendly, they made me feel welcome. Overall, I would recommend this accommodation to everyone who looks for a nice and cozy hotel.

Secure, friendly, affordable lodging close to Old City touristic sites. Challenging to find the first time from public transit. Family run business, small rooms. Ours had a roof deck with sea view. We’d stay here again.

A touch of Old Istanbul

I stayed in the room with the terrace on the top floor for 7 nights. It's an interesting hotel with a lot of character. Pros: view of blue mosque from the terrace at night is mystical, the hostess is amazing at directing everyone to really interesting adventures and giving you some sense of the grandeur of Istanbul, the location is just enough out of the tourist flow to feel interesting but still close to the main tourist attractions. Cons: a few maintenance flaws in the bathroom, some of the stuff is a bit old, walking up the hill to the metro stop was fun at first but got old after 7 days of it. Overall I recommend it, you get a taste of old Istanbul while still being right next to the big tourist attractions. The little flaws appeared as charming.

Our stay at Ahmet Efendi Evi was wonderful. The hosts are very friendly and gave us good advice throughout our stay. The location was ideal for visiting Istanbul's main attractions on foot. The room was comfortable and the location is very quiet. Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay.

Charming pensione in a magical historical area. What sets this place above the rest however is the exceptional host! Gunule is warm and welcoming, so friendly and helpful with any local queries, I cannot recommend this place enough!

Lovely place in the old city

Great place and everyone was so nice. The hotel is a lovely place right at the center of the old city thus close to all major place worth visiting.we had a lovely room at the top with a view on the city partial sea view. Breakfast was nice. And they will organise transport to airport with very reasonable rates.

Calme et bon service

Une chambre spacieuse et propre. L’hôte était aimable, nous avait aidé à annuler un vol et nous donner des renseignements intéressants sur la ville. L’hôtel est aussi proche de la place touristique sans être bruyant. Il donne sur une rue très calme. Seul hic est quand tu fais monter ou descendre les valises car pas d’ascenseur

Sultanahmet ayasofya hemen 3 sokak yukarda. Cankurtaran sosyal tesisleri, sahil yolu, ana ulaşım akslarına çok yakın harika konumda bir butik otel. Temizlik konfor güvenlik her anlamda çok iyi. İşletmecisi Gönül hanım çok nazik kibar ve dünya iyisi bir insan. Gönül rahatlığıyla tavsiye ederim. Çevremden soran herkese de tavsiye ediyorum.
