Had a lovely 2 night stay for work related activities. Staff were amazing check in was quick and friendly. Car chargers available as well which is a bonus. I didn’t eat here due to work commitments but the bar area was welcoming and cosy. WiFi was an issue on the afternoon and evening of my second day which meant I couldn’t catch up on work I also didn’t have good mobile signal so couldn’t hot spot! On both evenings there was some disruption to my sleep due to cars meeting up on the car park and playing g loud music, talking laughing etc until around midnight. I have a 5 night stay booked to visit family and sep d the half term in the area so really looking forward to spending more time here.

Great clean room and much better value than some of the larger chains. Really nice location with views around the area. Located a few minutes from the motorway. Would use again and recommend to others. Missing information in room like breakfast times but easily sorted by asking the staff.

The hotel decor in bedrooms was tired looking however they were very clean. The hotel has a cosy vibe to it. We have stayed here previously and I would happily stay again price is reasonable food is good plenty of choice at breakfast and if you’re looking for an evening meal you can’t go wrong good choice on the menu at very reasonable prices. Had to ask at reception for service at the bar and then ask again at reception for a menu so I knocked a star off but on the whole staff were polite. Like I said clean cosy hotel just a little tired but well worth the cost

Third stay at Penine Manor. The staff are wonderful although extra bar staff on an event weekend would be a good idea. The only bugbear with this hotel is the Wi-Fi which is particularly weak.

Won’t be back room was damp and door wouldn’t shut properly. Shower was just a trickle and taps wouldn’t work to fill bath as divert water valve was stuck solid and couldn’t be moved. Bed sheets had stains on them and hairs on them like they hadn’t even been changed and/or cleaned. Parking was good and is free. The view over the hills is to die for absolutely amazing views but that’s as far as the amazing gets you I am afraid.

Check-in staff were miserable and unhelpful. We booked a table in the restaurant but on arrival were told that the restaurant is only used for breakfast. We had to eat in the bar but we did not have a table reserved and had to scrabble for a table. The food was very basic pub food with little choice and the drinks choices very limited. Breakfast was very good.
