"Excellent, clean property. It did need some more kitchen items (like a cutting board, more than three cups and plates, etc.). Also, not a deal breaker, but the tree in the backyard is infested with spotted lantern flies and they dripped honey dew (a maple syrup-like all substance they excrete). Our car was covered in it, and needed a car wash because the windows were hard to see out of. Still, the state of RI will take care of this. Other than that, excellent host, excellent stay. Renaissance Providence Downtown Hotel

8/10 Good

"Great location"

Town & Country

8/10 Good

"We stayed at Town and Country Motel for an overnight stay while visiting Providence, RI. Location was great. Easy on and off of major highway. Close to eateries, grocery stores, department stores, gas stations, etc. Location felt very safe. Quiet property. Property outside was dated but it was clean which is all that really counts. I must give recognition to the front desk girl that checked us in. I mistakenly booked a smoking room. She made it a point to tell me that I booked a smoking room and stated "It DOES smell like smoke". What made her a wonderful person in my eyes was the fact that I told her that I made the mistake and accept responsibility for this booking and she sensed my disappointment. She told me to "hold on, let me see what I can do". After several minutes I was able to get a non smoking room. The room was also dated but clean. Carpet in the room, but was clean. Linens and bathroom were nice and clean. Room was delightfully warm. Bed very comfortable. Decent amount of light and outlets in the rooms. Fridge and microwave in the room. Plenty of hot water. Walk in shower!!!. Basic toiletries. Wifi slow but adequate. Same front desk gal worked very patiently with me to get the Wifi working!!! No breakfast. Check out was quick and I was thanked warmly for staying. All in all, a very pleasant and uneventful stay. I will stay her again if ever back in the area!!!"
