"Nice staff, beautiful grounds and ocean view! Liked our villa but the 2nd bedroom is a loft so any early risers had to be extra quiet as sound carried up. Not a big deal but would have preferred 2 enclosed. Even still I would recommend the unit and the complex. Given all the positives it is a good value as well. "

"This is a great spot right next to the ocean. It was perfect for whale watching on the lawn. The property has a lot of great games, including a putting course and shuffleboard. Lawn chairs to look out at the ocean are free to use. The place was perfect for us, because it has two separate sleep spaces, one with the Murphy bed in the living room, and the other in the one bedroom. This property is also right next to some of the most popular restaurants on the coast. "

"The view is exactly as advertised! We could watch the whales almost anytime of day and the sunsets were incredible. Papakea Resort has a real community feel with BBQs by the pool, lounge chairs in the grass, and snorkeling steps at the sea wall. Dawn was very accessible and reached out to us on our day of arrival to see if we needed anything. "

"We took a family trip which included our two sons and two grandchildren to Maui. Randy's unit was in an ideal location in West Maui with sweeping ocean views. It's Prime whale season so we saw no less than 100 whales each day. There were a couple of large sea turtles that made their way up on the private beach each day to sunbathe. The unit had everything we needed. The only two things that were not optimal was the upstairs Loft area was dark and had no airflow or views and the apartment got a little warm during the day the fans really didn't cool off the house. Other than that we had a great stay and we give it five stars"
