Wonderful beach house

Our stay at the breakers was lovely. The new renovation was thoughtfully planned and had everything you could want/need in a beach house. It was very clean. Loved the king sized bed and our kids did just fine on the pull out sofa. Could walk to coffee at sweet Al’s every morning and getting to the beach was a breeze as it’s on a very easy to access and short boardwalk just behind the pool. 10/10.

Clean & Cute

We love this little condo! It was perfect for my husband, our infant and myself for a week! A short walk to the beach and a great pool. The home was very clean and they provided clear directions, rules and instructions on what to do, how to operate items in the home and Coligny Plaza is a short walk away. It was PERFECT! We will be back.

Awesome Condo

This was a very clean, organized and close to everything condo. We didn’t move the car once because we could walk to dining, drinks, entertainment, grocery store and of course the beach.

A nice spot

Location location location. Near a lot of things to do and eat. Beach was nice. Very clean. Polite and helpful security officers. I would stay again. Recommended. The 3 things that could improve. 1. With a code lock, there’s no need to go to their office to pick up paper that could be left in the condo. 2. Bed isn’t a queen size, it was a full. Also it needs to be replace, sags to the middle. 3. Sofa bed mattress also needs to be replace. Besides that we enjoyed our stay.

The property was a good size for 3 (1 adult and 2 children). It had the bare minimum and nothing for the beach. There was a dead roach in the bathroom and the property is obviously very old. There were no instructions on how to work the cable tv and I tried to contact the owner via message but I never got a response. Actually the owner never contacted me the entire time and I wasn’t sure where To check in. There was only one trash bag given to us for a 4 night stay but we made do. The porch was left dirty with crackers and leftover food from the previous guests and the table outside was very dirty. The door to the porch is also cracked. Like I said for what we needed it was fine at best but would stay somewhere different next time. I wish the opener would’ve at least responded to my messages.

Great location - unit needs work

The Breakers location is convenient to the beach as well as shopping, entertainments, and dining. We’ve stayed consistently in the Breakers complex for many years and this unit is badly in need of a makeover. The unit was dirty when we arrived so we requested a re-cleaning. The bedroom very much needs a coat of paint, the walls are dirty and there are many signs of wear and tear. The bedroom carpet was so dirty. We placed a blanket over top so we could walk on something clean. The bed coverings and spare blankets need laundered - fortunately we brought our own bedding. We purchased curtains for the bedroom window during our stay since so much light poured into the bedroom window with no window dressings. The kitchen lacks many of the items convenient for meal preparation and has limited utensils. There is very limited storage throughout the entire unit. Furniture needs updating. Some of the vents had black mold around them especially in the bathroom so we had to call Sea Turtle to address upon our arrival which they sent in someone to clean, disinfect and spray over. Sea Turtle addressed all of our concerns and were so accommodating to our needs and requests however, there’s only so much the rental agency can do when the owners aren’t willing to invest in their property and keep it updated for the clients who are paying to rent it. As much as we love the Breakers complex, we will not be renting this particular unit again.

Good location

Good location. You can't see the ocean from the balcony but right on tge beach. Kitchen could use some updates including an oven and better utensils. Bed was not the most comfortable but everything else was good.

Great Property

Awesome location! Condo was great. We had 4 of us, my husband, myself and two girls. It was plenty of space for us. Loved how we could hear the fountains from our balcony. Pool was awesome. Perfect temperature. Check in and out procedure was so easy! We will definitely come back and stay again.

Perfect location . Pics of property were fairly accurate . I suggest you hire a new cleaning crew . Floor was dirty . Everything was very dusty . Hard water stains in bathroom . Tiles in kitchen were cracked/ broken. We did a thorough cleaning and still enjoyed out stay . Thank you

PERFECT VACATION

By the time we checked in it was too late to call and get someone in to clean. We headed over the store and bought all the cleaning materials ourselves and cleaned the place from top to bottom. There was snot on the pillow cases, we had to wash all the bedding. Dryer is horrid and sounds like a motorcycle. The elevators don’t work due to heavy construction. Construction equipment is laying out all over. Just a total mess.

Quaint, but just what you need fir two adults. More is tight, but only because there only one bathroom. Kitchen is very small but well-equipped. Would definitely stay again.

Door- needs a keyless entry. Needs a deadbolt of security chain. With small children this is a problem to not have a more secure door. Cleanliness- terrible. Needs a deep scrub and cleaning Kitchen pots and pans- 1 small skillet and one small boiling pan - what meal can you cook with this? And no baking dishes- what are you to use in the toaster oven? Fold out couch - literally sleeping in spring coils. Bedroom- invest in some plantation blinds or dark curtains. There is a porch light that will not turn off and light is shinning thru the window all night long. The bed is not comfortable. If sharing with someone you both roll to the middle. Pool and beach location - great!

Needs Some Work

My wife and I visit Hilton Head several times a year. This trip we decided to check out Breakers because in all the years, we hadn't stayed at any of those units. Great location for a long weekend. The check-in process was a bit fumbled. We were arriving late and our check-in packet wasn't in the lockbox like it was supposed to. We called them and they sent someone down in about 20 minutes. This was at almost midnight. It was a simple accident - we've rented from Sea Turtle Getaways before and they've always been great to work with. We got to the unit and knew that it was small going into it. Which to me would make me think it'd be easier to keep clean, but maybe not. Small queen bed put in a small bedroom with one very tiny dresser. No problem for us since we were only there for a few days but it would be a challenge to do a week-long stay. The bathroom needs a deep cleaning and some minor maintenance. Paint has chipped off the trim and quarter round in front of the tub. Some parts of the unit had been updated but most had not. Even the sheets and cups/glasses had some age on them. The people around us were LOUD. Like, 2am having fun loud. We're not against anyone having a good time, it was just shocking that it happened every night of our stay and we heard it clear as day. We also went home with lots of bites on us. I don't know if it was a bed bug situation or if it could have been sand fleas but we were eaten up and we've never had this issue on any other trip to the island. We'll definitely be back to Hilton Head but won't be staying at the Breakers.
