Tachikawa Regent Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The twin room had a two-seater sofa in-between the twin beds, which was very helpful for various uses, besides relaxing. The free breakfast was a simple yet nutritous offering that included juice, cofffee, miso soup as well as rice balls and various side dishes. Employees including reception and housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful."

APA Hotel Hachioji-Eki Kita

10/10 Excellent

"The HVAC is controlled centrally, and supposedly the air conditioning was still on but my room was hot quite frequently with no way to adjust. The room was the smallest I've ever stayed in when visiting Japan, and that says a lot. The picture on Expedia did not do a good job showing how small the room was. That said, the cost per night that included a very nice breakfast down the street at a Gusto was very reasonable. Pro's: location, cost per night that included a very good breakfast, clean room and bathroom Con's: no way to adjust the room temperature in spite of a few switches (not working???), very small room, complimentary coffee machine in lobby has pretty lousy coffee"

Kamenoi Hotel Ome

10/10 Excellent

"The place and location is beautiful. Rooms were big and amenities were accessible. FYI this place caters for locals and if you’re looking for adventurers, food sampling and authenticity this is the place for you. No Western or American breakfast here but I can promise you this… all thru the 3 nights we stayed here Breakfast and Dinner was awesome , delicious and we really enjoyed the food and the service as well. We lived in Japan several years ago and coming back to explore the area close to where we used to live but missed due to our busy schedules is a blessing. And I asked myself? How in the world did we miss this area to explore when our knees were still stronger. There is so much to enjoy here, from this Hotel to the neighboring area. Walk and enjoy the neighborhood, parks and how the local live with lots of scenery and very quiet safe neighborhood. Trains and local transports are available. A must stay hotel and location for peaceful stay and comfortable hotel stay."
