"10/10 stay! This place is EXACTLY as listed. Stayed with my college lacrosse team for spring break and it was plenty of space for 20 adults to comfortably sleep and exist! The outdoor spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms, and the separate cottage were a huge bonus! If we come back to this area, we will certainly stay here again. "

"The home was beautiful, well maintained, and very clean. The views were also stunning.However, as a kayak bass fisherman, the mention of kayaks in the listing led me to assume there would be a place on the property to launch them. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The kayaks on site appear to be brand new, likely because there is no practical way to get them down to the water from the property. While I understand that assumption was partly on my end, clearer information in the listing would have helped set expectations.Communication was also an issue. I asked a question four days prior to arrival but did not receive a response until the day before check-in, which limited our ability to adjust our plans. We also asked about nearby locations to launch the kayaks and did not receive a response. I was able to ask a neighbor, and he stated it was miles away. So, if you don't have a truck the kayaks are worthless. Because of these issues, I am leaving a three-star rating. "

"Amazing vacation home and experience. Well designed home with huge covered porches overlooking the heated pool, fire pit and private point lot. Great location on Smith Mountain Lake with clear deep water. Thank you!"

"We had a fantastic stay! The house is well equipped with clear directions and everything in the kitchen is well maintained and labeled. The host team was easy to work with and had clear check out instructions. Great dock and view of the lake. Awesome stay!"

"The host was great but we ran into several problems. We arrived at night and found the stairway lighting was not working so we had to use flashlights to get down a very steep set of stairs in pitch black to get to the house. When we tried to use water in the sink, it smelled of rotten eggs. The coffee maker had very old grinds that were totally molded so we had to sanitize the machine. That said, the bed was comfortable and the cabin was clean. I think in the height of the season, the experience may have been different. Clearly the cabin was empty for a little while which caused the issues. We alerted the host so hopefully it doesn't happen again."

The owners were great at communication and even assisted us by providing access to a battery charger for one of our boat batteries that went dead on us before we arrived. We were talking about coming back during a future visit as we were checking out."
