Wander through the striking Design District where Finland's famous minimalist aesthetic comes to life in boutiques and galleries. Take a ferry to the sea fortress Suomenlinna for harbor views, then warm up in a traditional sauna before diving into the Baltic's refreshing waters.
Easy to navigate from the airport to your hotel. Good transport links throughout the city. Transport passes that cover most people's needs. Clean and tidy and safe to walk around. Pkenty if different choices for food or drink.

Really enjoyed Helsinki! The culture, the attractions, the people were fantastic! If you're from the United States, it gives off a San Francisco vibe, but a lot more clean, accessible, and friendly!

Helsinki has a lot to offer, it was my first time there. Luckily I had friends to show me around & at this time of year you need to wrap up warm in the snow, but i enjoyed the bars, the zoo, visiting the fortress island, shops, Christmas market etc

I was surprised that some of the bars and restaurants open until late there, and although it was around -4C there with snow, didn't feel too cold at all and the streets were finely gritted and salted so it's unlikely to slip on the ice there.
