「Absolutely great place to stay if you're in Ilfracombe. Backs onto the very pretty harbour area, really good value breakfast and the pub is friendly, great beers but not noisy at all. Our room got a little warm and the mgt instantly upgraded us to a two-room suite opposite and the general service and friendliness of the team who manage the Royal Britannia would be a major reason for going back as well as the beautiful spots immediately around the hotel. Great job and thank you Royal Britannia...

「I booked online and then researched the Holiday Park after (slightly backwards way of doing it) but I’m glad I didn’t take all the reviews too seriously, I’ve stayed in far worse hotels than this. Obviously late December is definitely not peak season either but still enough people about. The kids loved the pool and there was an on duty life guard and cafe. Our apartment was nice too. If I could give 1 bit of feedback it’s that the changing room for the pool is an open 1 room which the boys...

「Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. It’s an old style building though- so you can hear people in the street or going up/down the corridor outside. Doesn’t bother me- but would be disturbing for a light sleeper. However- Ilfracombe is a sleepy Devon town so there is no noise after pubs shut or before 6am」

「Lovely little apartment over two floors within easy walking distance of town centre. Owner very accommodating. On street parking can be difficult at times. We enjoyed our short stay in Penryn.」

「Nice apartment, ideal positioning, Illfracombe is very steep, but lovely walks to be had. Car parking is free after 6pm in the town also. We didn’t use the facilities but pool looked a decent size. Cushions on the bed were very hard. Could maybe do with a couple of soft ones in the wardrobe as a just incase. Lovely place overall. 」
